Working perfectly. I have desoldered 2 female usb connectors from an old broken laptop, then soldered as mentionned in your video. I took 2 old usb cable ( 1m lenght each) I cut the micro usb side. I have soldered each color bleu, red, green, yellow and shield togather. I obtained a cable of 2 mètres long with 2 usb male at each side. Its a prolongator. Finaly, one side could be inserted in computer, the other side with adapter F/F and then i could plug a mouse. it's working. Thanks for sharing

Can't remember, get a set of large-sized heat-shrink and you could use it on other things too. This is what I did.

Something not quite right here mate! OTG socket on phone has five pins, detects host or master, then provides power over USB. So how do you connect a Standard 4 pin USB between flash drive and phone in your video? I did your hack, and my phone does not see pen drive or EasyCap USB device. Basically, no pin 5, no power to turn them on? If you can explain please it would help me. My Cubot x9 is supposed to be OTG capable.

But when you reverse and spin you end up with pin 1 to pin 4, pin 4 to pin 1, and so on, or am i mistaken?

This works. +5v needs to be in the same place on both ends. Please watch the video carefully.

@@liorof yes just be sure red actually goes to pin 1. Ideally if both cabled follow the standard, all you have to do is match the colors.

Have to check if they are both using the same colors for the same pins. Multimeter for that and to check continuity in the cable too.

Mini USB female to usb a female is possible? How?

Yes but it has to be a cable not direct like this. If you get the connectors you need, lookup the pinout for mini usb and connect Vcc to +5 V then GND to negative power D+ to data positive D- to data negative Mini USB and micro usb are just wires, no components needed in the cable.

They are probably just wired directly no chip no anything. One can power something while another will talk to the host device.
