One of my earliest if not the earliest experimentations with DIY NON SHOOTING gun models. I was embarrassed to show it.
But it,s ugliness is dear to me.
At the beginning.
Uzi handle intrigued me. Stamped or bent + welded sheet metal receivers for Uzi or Mac10 were not an option.
Telescoping square tubing of 3 different sizes was answer I was looking for.
Some things I could have done cleaner, but it was my first trial. And the bolt squares inside the square bolt carrier.
I am proud by the puzzle like interlocking design of the receiver and again the utilization of the main spring as a final locking piece.
Don’t mind the ugly Swiss cheesed bolt / carrier….it will be clear why it looks this way in the future episode(s)
This is the only parkerizing I have ever done….using a triple D battery magnesium oxide and phosphoric acid. A bit of a DIY drama. A learning curve.
Cold bluing seems much simpler, but the parkerizing I find to be more durable.
ENJOY.
