Most fabric painting videos I've seen recommend that you wet the fabric with water first so that it will absorb the paint better, and also so it won't feel stiff once it's dry. I've never painted fabric so am not speaking from personal experience. You did a great job and it turned our beautifully. Tyfs.

I like it so far! This is the first time I’ve done it on fabric, as well. But, I watched a tutorial with Annie Sloan and I wanted to give it a try! As you know, it’s just making sure you use water on the fabric and the brush.

Oh also when you add the gilding wax over the clear wax did you have to seal it again? Or will then gilding wax stay put once it’s dry ?

I would like to say thank you for using an inexpensive paint, not all of us can afford Annie Sloan or other costly paint. You show us how to make things beautiful on a budget. I love the Waverly brand chalk paint, I buy it all the time at Walmart. That set looks incredible, just GORGEOUS ❤️❤️

I love your earthy tones. I do think the Annie Sloan paint makes the Waverly a better paint. The legs are beautiful. The while piece is beautiful. That would have been hard for me to paint but you made it look beautiful. Thank you.

Hi Kacha, I've been really inspired by you to try the gilding wax. I just received mine in King Gold today and tried it on the drawer pulls I want to update. Unfortunately the wax won't stick to pulls. What should I do to make it work?

Hi Amanda! I have to say that sounds really strange, the only thing I can think of is maybe you did not clean the pulls? I have never had that problem, that gilding wax grabs to everything I use it on! Hope this helps and you can figure that out, because its a very good wax!

Why do you not remove the drawers to paint them? Is there a wrong or right way or is it just personal preference ?

Because it’s not needed and saves a lot on time. If you are not sure how to do it without taking them out then work however you feel comfortable!
