You have definitely inspired me! My dad died 10 years ago, and he blessed his HUGE old grangehall (1910 it was built) to my sisters and I. He restored old trunks from the 1800's and all kinds of furniture. He was truly amazing and he saved all kinds of wonderful hardware and drawer pulls ( you name it and he had it!) and wood furniture parts like you can't believe (just like the ones you just did!) and a nice wood stack. You would love it there, Yvonne! Anyhow, what a great way to use up some of my dad's stash. You did a fantastic job and I'm always amazed at how you think way out of the box and you're a trailblazer for us watching..... I love your videos and think you are so sweet and funny and talented ❤

Your collection of skates were amazing. You were lucky to get them. I really love what you did with the skates. Very high end looks. I have an old pair of skates. They still look new-er-ish. I think I need to take the sander to them and use my own stain that I make to help with the aging process. I have a few old cupboard doors laying around. This may be the perfect project for me to do.

Being Dutch, I really like the ice skates on the panels!😍 Especially the second set of skates. I think they are Dutch. Called "Friese doorlopers." I had them when I was a child. Even the ribbon is the same. Brings back so many memories. ❤ It is so difficult to untie that ribbon when it's whet from skating through snow etc, and your fingers are almost frozen. There were so many times that I walked crying at home with the skates still on my feet, because I didn't get the string loose. Luckily it was just a very short walk. But Dutch have a word for walking with skates on. It's a Frisian word, called klûnen. Sometimes when there are ice skating contests on frozen rivers and lakes, there can be parts that are not frozen. Then the skaters will be led of the ice, while running on carpet to protect the blades with their skates on. Until they can get back on the ice. 😅

These are fabulous Yvonne ! I bet those big cutters where grand for those stems. Even with the wire cutters you have to work hard bending back and worth…ugh ! They need to make “Lady Size” cutters …LOL!!! Love the 2nd one with the old string or leather that had the orangish tone to it with the pine and wood tones…love love love !!!! I absolutely loved the first pair of skates, especially how they turned up at the bottom! Hanging a red & black plaid stocking on the upturned blade of each skate would be a nice way for someone, who doesn't have a fireplace, to hang their Christmas Stockings, then after Christmas they can remove the stockings & still keep the sign up on their wall for the rest of the Winter. Love it all, Yvonne!
