Very cool, Joe! One thing this approach does, is allow you to decide exactly what notes will be dissonant. Rather than trying to find some setting on a plugin that "sounds good enough", you can sculpt it, add your 9ths, 11ths, etc, and detune/effect each one exactly as you wish. Very powerful. Thank you for sharing this!

I remember you broke this down in a behind the ep and I actually recently rewatched it, so it's cool to see an updated version :)! I love this effect so much

Joe vs the Computer I'm guessing you could do something similar by sending copies of the vocal through a plugin like Little Alter Boy. I gotta try that.

That is cool joe. Couldnt you use the pitch functions in studio one to do that🤔 verses melodyne🤔 also do you feel you can get a great mix with 2 channel strips only🤔

I want this bass sound so much for my acoustic production! Can i create it with a vst synthesizer?

Neat idea but sounds like a lot of work haha, you ever try TAL-Vocoder? It's free and you could have your vocoder effect within minutes

When I copy and paste tracks, Melodyne is using the same Melodyne session of each of them, so if I edit the next track, it changes the original track as well. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks :)

Did you have videos on traditional vocoders or a good plugin for studio one?
@voorheesvillefirstunitedme32284 жыл бұрын
Hello, This is off topic from the video you have created here. I have an issue or maybe issues with sound that I was hoping you could help me out with. I am a member of a church in which we have a sound system, in house speaker system, stream, and record. Our in house sounds pretty good. Our online sounds pretty decent. The issue I am having is with the sound of the recording when played back. Some background information. We are currently using a PreSonus Studiolive 16 and the computer is connected via USB. We currently use PreSonus Universal Control for our software control of the board. We have taken 2 Mix channels and created our online mix which we use to broadcast online. As mentioned earlier our computer is connected via USB. On the computer that controls the board we also have PTZ Cameras which utilize a program called vMix. vMix does have its own audio mixer which is very fundamental. Enough of the background. This is my concern. We have 2 separate services our first is our Traditional and the 2nd is the Modern Service. The 2nd service is where my concern is. We have a praise band which we use during our Modern Service. Some info about our band. 1 Keyboard, 4 mics, Rythem guitar, lead, and Bass, Drums are electronic and I have R & L connected to the SB's. All of the instrumentation and mics are connected through a Stage Box's (2) except for the Pastor's mic which is connected Analog to the board. The Pastor is also the Lead Singer and Rythem / Bass guitar . We are new to this recording thing I must add. I listened back to the recording and basically only heard the lead singer and the KB. All of the mics, guitars, and drums were muffled. I have a set of headphones connected to the board at all times. What I am trying to understand is how I would be able to listen to the levels being recorded because the In House sounds as good as I can get it. Any Suggestions or maybe I need to clarify some info. Please let me know and thank you

Hey Joe! Why are the waveform so big? - is it recorded very hot?
@TheAsdsdswww5 жыл бұрын
Studio One lets you adjust the size of the waveform with a slider, it's called data zoom iirc

if you didn't have the budget for a vocoder plugin, why not use a free vst one? there's plenty of great free vst plugins out there
@famitory5 жыл бұрын
i recommend MDA Talkbox. it's the most inteligible of the free vocoders out there
