Very nice! For those asking how tall the upright should be, the top of the net is about 7' 6'' to 8', and the 4'' pipe in the ground is about 18''~24'' deep, so you want the 3'' PVC pipe to be 10' (roughly two feet of it will be underground).

How tall did you make them poles?

I've made one of these the same way back in the 80's when I played competitive ball. The only problem is when you rebound a ball in the net, the pvc bends since it is not rigid and the net doesn't stay tight. I still have mine in my shed. Great idea, but I think a rigid pipe would be better. This is fine for light playing, though.

I can see that with some hard use. We only use it for light use

@@slrenovations9247 How did you build the base of the volleyball net? I was thinking of building a detachable pull up bar in our garden and I was thinking of making the 2 supporting pipes to be mounted/removed at each use

Can always fill with 2" or 3" PVC Pipes with concrete. Would be heavier but would put an end to this problem you outline. No?

I've done this in the past and the only issue is the pipe flexes. I have thought about putting concrete in a 2 or 3" pipe to eliminate flex. Would be heavier but more sturdy. Thoughts?
