Installation of the Akrapovic 2 into 1 Open Line exhaust system on a 2014 Harley Davidson Night Rod Special!
Gaskets needed are the Harley Davidson Part Number 64971-09. You'll need 2 of them.

Hi,I have this mine n my v rod 2005 looks good but it’s not loud for me,I’ve checked to see there is no silencer to take out,I be ordered CFR mufflers it’s came today but it won’t fit on this headers they are 2 in 1,now I need stock headers and I don’t know where to get one

Better quality and overall sound and performance. Yes I did switch. That bikes been sold😂 I’ve got a Roadglide now full D&D 2 into 1

what type of wrench to tighten the front exhaust pipe... the nut on the right side...... I could not get a good wrench

I bought a cheap 10mm wrench and cut it in half to make it really small. It was the only way I could come up with to get it tightened

good video...but any chance after installing all the parts and you start the bike ... did you have a lot of smoke front the front pipe

I had a little just from random oils from my hands touching the exhaust. But I gave it a good wipe down before the first start and that really helped

@@jfisher99999 probably I will take the front pipe out.... to inspect the seal make sure didn't get crunch but also smells like burning rubber.....

Hey man, I just installed this on my 10th anniversary edition. I cannot for the life of me get the header bolt on the right head on the extremely curled/bent portion of the headers. I can't even get a wrench in to tighten it up. Again, it's the side closest to the radiator. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

J Roy I bought a cheapo wrench from harbor freight and cut it in half that way I could get it in there. It’s a slow, pita process but it will eventually tighten

Bro the nut which you used for blocking o2 hole is this nut come in the box of Akrapovic exhaust or i have to buy this separately?

PakiBiker Aftab Akrapovic includes it in the hardware pack that comes with the exhaust

Thanks buddy 👍🏼 I ordered this exhaust for my 2008 Nightrod special. Akrapovic says it won’t install 2008 model lets see i hope it will be installed.

Yes I don’t think there will be any issue Akrapovic says its for 2009 and up coz of O2 sensor only. There is no O2 sensor in 2008 model. Lets see waiting for the shipment to arrived. Living in Middle east

Hi Alejandra, I actually used the 64971-09 Harley Davidson gasket. I say actually because it doesn't appear to be tapered and is more of a straight gasket

how the popping on decel. i have v&h 2-1 comp and the decel pop drives me crazy.

nathan mullin all exhausts, even stock, have decel pop to an extent. You don’t hear it as much on stock exhaust because the mufflers “muffle” it out. There is a video on KZbin by Fuel Moto where the guy breaks down what the different causes are of decel pop (there are several and there is a lot of misinformation out there on decel pop) and how to tune them out. It’s super informative and a great watch. I highly recommend
