I think a cute rug in the room would break up a lot of the "too much wood" feel. The floors look gorgeous after you refinished them but a rug could bring in some more lovely colors.

I think you should keep the basket for the laundry basket. It adds warmth and texture to the room. A white one will just get dirty real fast.

I have seen so many videos of youtubers who have dressing rooms or walk in closets and yours is a dream! Most of the ones I have seen are too fancy and look like they're from a movie but yours is so practical and fresh!

Love it and agree add a nice vintage area rug and I’d say change the mirror or paint it so it takes away the extra wood look! Ike’a has a nice huge nickel colored mirror!

Finally a closet room I can relate to. I have watched so many closet room videos and they all have these expensive cabinets or bookcases and it looks like a lot of work. You’re so smart! I just love this. I know you’re thinking is a new stool but since this one fits so perfectly why not just recover it? I think if you found a couple coordinating rugs you could do one on the floor and use the other to cover the bench. Just an idea.
