Is this for when no water is available or are you saying the tap water is contaminated?
@RaphaelaLaurean4 жыл бұрын
@@humaboutique2 Oh no, the water is not contaminated, at least not as far as I am aware. I was saying that if you found yourself in a situation where you had no more water and the water was not running, you could purify water this way. Sorry if I scared you. Thanks for watching.

Thanks, just wondering. Does the baking soda clump up? Great idea with the black bean. Btw using the baking soda your are alkalizing your water some. A good thing. Best to all.
@RaphaelaLaurean3 жыл бұрын
@@jrhjrh9372 Hello. No, mine didn't clump up, so I don't think that should be a problem. It's funny, I didn't even think about the fact that it was alkalizing the water. What a great point. Thanks for mentioning that and for watching and commenting.

Beans are a good idea, but they won't last long term. Fish tank gravel would be a better bet(undyed or unpainted/coated) DO NOT use baking soda... You'll neutralize your stomach acid causing a whole lot of issues. now if you want to make alkaline water sure go ahead but add it directly to the water and only a pinch or two. after you've filtered ya still need to boil it to be sure.... cheers, good luck.

What is the purpose of the black beans in the filtiration process?
@MrTopflight293 жыл бұрын
There is no purpose. What you should really uses in order is cotton or a clean rag, activated carbon, clean sand and clean gravel. The gravel will help filter out large contaminates. I have no clue what she used baking soda, it would dissolve into the water. Don’t forget to boil your water afterwards

The baking soda is a no no... especially on such small amounts of water. It's good for stomach upset/acid indigestion, but only in small quantity of Na Bicarb....(believe it's like >1/4 tsp) this was way way too much; and would be just as dangerous as drinking dirty/contaminated water 🫤🫤 Careful y'all. Great video and tips otherwise 👍
