Water separator for plasma cutter and sand blaster

I wanted to remove moisture from compressed air for use with a sand blaster, I found that running air into a tank allowed the air velocity to reduce to almost zero, the slowing of the air made the air and moisture cool, better. THEN the copper pipe could remove more moisture. A friend did this with a compressor he built from a car engine, the tank removed almost all the moisture, he was using a large volume of air (LOTS of CFM) so, he used two tanks in series to get the moisture down to where the moisture had no effect on sand blasting. Try adding a tank in-line, a ten gallon tank is big enough for a plasma cutter.

Sure, i have put together a pdf file with the list of components and a simplified diagram. If you can share your email I can send it to you. I'm not sure how to attach a pdf to these comments. If you have another way, let me know... I think I figured out how to share it... Try this link... drive.google.com/file/d/1-4ccN4uTUghY-xRUaV0nopVVyM7zy99e/view?usp=sharing thanks

This looks like a modified Franzinator, a water and oil separator that works quite well. www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=204287 I built a three-stage unit for my garage and always pull water from it after each compressor run and zero water in the trap or in the bottom of the storage tank. I was surprised to see a post many months ago from the developer stating that anything more than two stages is a waste, yet I'm able to remove water from stage three during the summer. Clearly even a third stage is useful.

That’s interesting, I have been seeing moisture from the first two but not from the third or fourth valve. I don’t mind having a little extra😊
