Thank you for the very clear and quick instructions. I just made this cute changing mat using the PUL. PUL seems to creep like velvet and extend by the time I got to the end. But I know next time. I will use my walking foot to help with that. The next one I make I might add some small ties on the two sides, so I can fold and roll it up for easy carrying around in a bag etc. Thanks again.

I made these a few years ago, and am making some for a friend's grandbaby now. I was looking for a good tutorial on making these, since I can't ask my friends to fly accross the country for a quick lesson in my sewing room. Thank you!

Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create this super cute changing mat. It’ll be so useful for any new Mum, and having at least two of them would be so helpful to. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too

Great Video. I am making changing pads. How does PUL stand up to drying in a dryer?
@findmecrafting10 ай бұрын
It holds up great! Looks new even after a lot of washes for me.

I always dry PUL on low, or hang dry if I have the time. You take good care of it, and it will take good care of you!

Thank you for sharing. 🩷Where can I find the plastic liner?
@findmecrafting Жыл бұрын
They sell PUL on Amazon (link in the description box of the video), at Joann Fabrics and Hobby Lobby. At least these are the places I have found it near me.

I found the PUL at Hobby Loby. On line, I've seen it being sold at Joanne's.

I'm making one with PUL. I have both fleece and flannel. I want to make with fleece as it's the one with "baby" theme. Will it be okay to do with fleece?
@findmecrafting11 ай бұрын
It will be very soft, but not as absorbent.
@lourdescastaneda407210 ай бұрын
@findmecrafting I'm confused on your mentioning flannel for Bsorbancy., I think I read somewhere that the PUL side is the side you lay baby on so you can then wipe up any mess. So then It wouldn't matter if the reverse side is fleece.
@cassieoz17027 ай бұрын
@@lourdescastaneda4072 nope, she uses flannel on top (absorbent) and the plastic layer on the bottom to protect any furniture/carpet that's under the mat. If, as she does, you have the fabric textured side of the PUL facing out, you wouldn't want to just wipe any messes off it

Hi, what is that little device called that you sew against to keep you seam consistent ?
@findmecraftingАй бұрын
It's called a magnetic seam guide, and I LOVE it! Here's a link to the one I use: amzn.to/3Zmeb6d

Instead of PUL, could I use waterproof canvas?
@findmecraftingАй бұрын
I don't see why not. The changing mat will be stiffer, but would probably work the same way.

Can you buy the PUL at the fabric store?
@findmecrafting3 ай бұрын
Yep, you definitely can. I know my Joann Fabrics has it as does the Hobby Lobby near me.
