Love this! Other options in place of the peanuts: Foam Ear Plugs, Twine soaked in Scotty's +1 Glue/water Potion (thinner vines), straws, foam scraps cut into pieces and lastly the intestine of a Lich!... ok maybe not the last one...

Love the look of a parasite vine or trunk growth from using the foam packing. Reminded me of banyan buttresses only twisted. The foliage is worth the price. The truly mingy can look for when Xmas decorations get tossed in Jan and pull wreaths apart. I have to do a 1:6 prehistoric jungle and these will scale up great and not look like normal trees.
@ratrod676 жыл бұрын
Holly Ingraham Reminded me of that too. The vines grow around the tree and eat it leaving nothing eventually but the vines. Cool aspect of nature.

Lovely looking trees and practical for game play as you can still easily move your figures around. Thank you for the tutorial.

Great vid, Scotty! Reminds me why YOU are the Godfather who originally inspired me.

Using the pencil shavings as moss is inspired! Fantastic idea! I'm going to have to start helping out more around the office ;)

Happy little trees. I see what you did there. And i like it.

Brilliant as always Scotty

Awesome, of course. Seeing the 'peanuts' applied to the trunk made me think of tentacles. They would make great textures for tentacles, maybe threaded onto wire bent to the shape required.

Pretty pretty trees♡♡♡ I like to make a little "shelf" in my trees to put a figurine. I have players that have an obsession with climbing trees and so on. ;)

Awesome video! Plus I watched your video on the glue gun I'll have to get me one of those. My little guy leaks all over the place. Thank you for inspiring me to craft.

I will definitely make these at some point, trees seem hard to make look good and be durable enough to take places! :) Great craft, I love it.

I like your ingenuity, using peanuts as parts of the tree...however, due to the shape of the ends it has the appearance of a segmented worm. It would have been better if you cut the ends flat or used some dollar store foam covered wire ( in the gardening section of the dollar tree) and twisted two pieces of wire together like vines and wrapped the tree in that. Regardless of that minor thing, the garland that you picked really sell them as trees. Thanks for sharing this cool project.

When I went to Hobby Lobby earlier this week, I was wondering if DM Scotty was going to get some use out of the 50% off sale on garlands. Was not disappointed.
@VikingFyre6 жыл бұрын
Jeez 40 bucks!? At least there are always sales at hobby lobby, plus that is a lot to work with.

20 bucks w/coupon?!? Thats a bit ( then Scotty show us how much you get) Oh...Oh wow!! I'm going to the craft store!!! To me, with the amount you get, it's a great deal. Awesome vid as always :-)

Yeah I about fell out of my chair when I saw $ 39.99 and then even with it being half off.. I was still skeptical. But when Scotty had his cape of foliage on, I was like WOW!! Totally worth it, Great Job Scotty!!

Have you ever given consideration for a mini series of mass production. I love the unique individuality of each item though sometimes I want to add a few new items to a game that is only a week away and some of these crafts while quick take time I sometimes don't have. Ideas?
@theDMsCraft6 жыл бұрын
I never really have but if I didn't have full time employment already I would probably produce terrain for sale
@campbte856 жыл бұрын
Do you have any ideas on how you would be able to keep up with demand? For example: ideas on how to make 4-5 trees in the same time it would normally take to make one - Now that's a video I'm waiting for to see!

Cool trees! Just wondering why you don’t add more foliage to them. Real trees grow leaves all along their branches, not just at the tips. They would look even better if you did!
