Haha yes, this was definitely worth watching for the personality. Awww, look at Isaiah's face when dad mentions he has a girlfriend, that's so cute! That pillowcase is pretty fantastic. I'm sure Abbie will love it :) I'm teaching special ed again next year but in a different school, no idea what kind of kids I will be teaching until I meet them at the end of January. I will totally know how to make a weighted pillow if I need to now. I've made glitter calm down jars and fidget spinners with my current multi-cat class (some are on the spectrum but their main issues are ADHD, ODD and mental health), which they loved. Had my last day with them yesterday, I'm going to miss them!

aha that diss to isaiah at the beginning about having no money because of his girlfriend ....my husband can relate....he was learning to drive (in the UK) until i came along and then he spent all his money on train tickets to come visit me. 2 1/2 years on and he still can't drive but we are married so you win some you loose some!. Loving this creative Christmas gift too!

I made a similar lap pad a while ago using rice and sandwich ziploc bags. It's a bit noisy though. Crinkly. I love the idea of adding padding with a towel! I may add that to mine to make it softer and slightly heavier. Also love the colour changing case - I would be constantly playing with that.. may have to get one!

Hmmm think I could do this on a much larger scale..... say with a duvet cover maybe????? I’d probably use the gallon bags in that case.... annnnnd a lot of em! Ha! Annnnnd perhaps instead of a towel- a few yards of fleece material or something like it??? My crafty brain is on overdrive now and I really want to make myself a weighted blanket!
