I could not stop smiling watching this video! LOL. I also couldn't help but thinking that in the last shot of Abigail with that maraca she was thinking in her head "Think I can't get in this... challenge accepted." Ha. Thanks for sharing.

This is lovely. So heartwarming to see two men in the family go to such trouble for their special family member. Not a lot of men would do that. Awesome guys, keep it up. You're an inspiration.

Loved all 3! Might hit up the dollar tree for a tambourine, but the other two look simple enough for even me. Best part: Abbie. And Priscilla’s laugh.

Always have a dish of cold ice water when using a glue gun. Especially if you don't have callouses on your fingers. I don't need the water anymore but when I first started crafting for special needs, omg did I burnt my hands so bad, I was popping blisters for a week! LOL love your day to day vlogging!! I just came across it today or yesterday evening. Your family is extremely lovable and great at teaching the public. I always wish I had KZbin while raising my children. My kids are all grown up now and then one that was special needs could've really benefited from his mother learning a few tricks of the trade! Thank you for sharing your lives you are helping a lot of people!!❣️🇨🇦

I'm going to make Abbie a rainstick! She'll love it! Maybe I'll even video it for you. :) Let me know when you get the book I sent you, so I don't have to worry about it getting lost in the mail. I have very little faith in our postal system. LOL!! (And don't enter me in the giveaway. Save them for someone who has an autistic kid. I have NO kids.)

Hi Asa and Izejha (that is me trying to spell your n@me phonetically....whoopsies! I recently discovered your channel and fell in love with your family. I became disabled in 2010 and had to quit my job as a senior systems analyst for IBM. To try to survive financially, I will occasionally nanny. Recently, a family with a 19 year old autistic son (actual age vs 4-6 year old cognitively & personality-wise). This particular DIY video is great because he loves music and I need new activities for him to engage in with me besides our normal, boring routine activities (which he loves on Fridays and hates on Saturdays?!). Please....more like this video (when you have the time, of course). And, I want to applaud you, Asa, and your beautiful wife for raising such a gentle, loving, caring son. He comes through the videos as a patient, engaged, super intelligent older brother - one who doesn't resent the extra attention his sister might get. I really dig the family dynamic and your honest. I will be binge watching all of your videos as I have found I learn something from each one - even if it is just reminding me to be more patient and engaged myself. Blessings to you and your lovely family! Hi Abbie!!!!! 😀

As someone who is autistic myself, I say be careful trying to gauge an autistic person's intelligence and or mental age. We generally don't fit normal criteria for expected things for age, or anything else for that matter, even myself who has HFA. Often communication and sensory difficulties make expressing one's self difficult, too. I know of someone who while he cannot speak anything but a few words at a time, shows very complex ideas that few neurotypicals would think of through written word. In my personal opinion, many nonverbal autistics were done a great disservice being given extensive speech training when assistive technology would be better in the long term. Effective typing is far better than mediocre speech. Thanks for taking the time to learn about autistic people like Abbie and myself. I applaud anyone who is curious about autism. Have a good day, -Richard
