DIY Welcome Door Sign / How To Make a Stencil With a Cricut / Using Removable Vinyl to Make Stencils

Decided I wanted to make a new welcome door sign for my front door for spring! Had some removable vinyl laying around so I figured I'd make my own stencil to make these diy round signs even easier to make! Showed y'all a little hack with some mod podge before painting your sign. Decorated my adorable sign with a burlap bow and some eucalyptus. I absolutely love how it turned out and will definitely be making more of these!!

Y’all crafty peeps make making bows look so easy. I wish I could get mine to look pretty like yours. I want to make my MIL a door hanger for Christmas but I can’t get the bow to look right so I may forfeit the idea. Your door sign is pretty though 😊

How do you get uour Welcome word so big & then able to cut? I always get an exclamation in d.space & even after resizing it won't fit on a 9 inch round. So frustrating! Love your vids!!

Thanks for watching! I didn't seal this one (since it was for me) but if I was selling these, I'd probably seal with polycrylic or the dishwasher safe modpodge so that it has a little water resistance hanging outside.

They are pretty thin but I typically have mine on command strips/hangers so I like the lighter ones lol. Thanks!

I’m wanting to know how to make a stencil larger with out making the image bigger ? I want to make a cheetah print for a 21 round door hanger. My cricut only cuts 11.5 so I was going to make two stencils but then the “spots” don’t line up. If I make the image larger then slice for two then the “spots” are too large. Help please. I hope this makes sense.

I had the same issue as you. I duplicated the 11.5 inch leopard print, attached the two pieces so it’s now 23 inches by 23 inches. When you try to print it out you have try to do the cut outs where the pieces are attached. There might be other approaches but this is what I did
