I love using Oracal 631to do my stencil. It doesn’t pull in the wood stain or paint. Also 582U transfer tape doesn’t lift the wood stain or paint; easy to transfer and it’s reusable. I’ve tried press and seal and it was too much work for me🤪 Tip for Over the stencil inside the lettering I use a light coat of the background color on the edges of the word and if it’s a stain I use a light coat of Mod Podge, but don’t let the Mod Podge dry. Then add the stencil paint color.

Can you speed paint dry time using heat gun or hair dryer?
@alisgoods45414 жыл бұрын
Yes I would use either but on low heat. Also, I found that using spray paint will dry much quicker, but your need to wrap your board really good after your stain has dried(I cover mine with saran wrap and tape it down on the ends) before spraying or else you will get overspray on your stained wood.

So did you use the cricut permanent vinyl? It looked like it stuck well on the paint and it’s chalk paint right? The press and seal is such a great idea! Does regular acrylic paint work as well? After all is complete and dry I'll give it a coat on the entire round ( when I have used the spray paint white, I spray the whole thing but check to see if the clear is good on chalk paint before applying, if not I would cover that part with a bag and only spray the stained section).
