Well I am from New England, Maine to be exact. I am not positive, but I'm 95% sure that the pinkish flowers you showed at the beginning of the video are wild Roses. Do they have really small thorns? They do look similar to peonies also in a way.. but my guess would be wild roses. I can't wait to check out all of your videos. Thank you for sharing.

I just LOVE how easy you make it look to create such beautiful chains! I have a question about the wire you use though. Is it ‘dead-soft’ wire? Or half-hard? It bends so easily, it seems like it must be the former, but I’d really love to know for certain. I mostly use half-hard wire, but it isn’t that easy to wrap using just my fingers. Thank you! ❤
@samanthalatimer18 ай бұрын
I do use the dead soft copper wire as even though it’s labelled “dead soft” it’s not too soft, if you o ow what I mean ☺️ I find the half hard too problematic for my arthritic fingers! You can work harden dead soft wire if you need a little more stability, so I use dead soft as it covers most bases. Hope that helps 🥰
@MsTenacious248 ай бұрын
@@samanthalatimer1 Thank you so much for your speedy response. I’ve yet to use any dead-soft wire, but I think I may give it a try. If it seems too soft, I’ll just try ‘hardening’ it a bit. I’ve been wanting to make my own chains for awhile now, but have been a bit intimidated to give it a try. After watching your tutorials though, I’m really excited to give it a try! You make it look SO easy! 🥰

@samanthalatimer18 ай бұрын
Hello 👋 How lovely that you’re wanting to get going with the wonderful world of jewellery making! As a beginner, I’d suggest an affordable tool set from somewhere like Kernowcraft, or Cookson Gold (online). Individual tools can be a little more pricey so I’d start with a basic set, which will give you what you need to get going. You can buy wires from Amazon cheaply enough, so start with smaller batches of 1mm, 0.8mm and 0.4mm wires, which are the basics for most things. And beads are really affordable too. You can get bead mixes from places like www.thebeadstore.co.uk They’re great for very cute and affordable beads and supplies. Have lots of fun and let me know ow how you get along ☺️
