Great little project. A couple of tips with cutting and drilling Aluminium, your metre saw would give you a perfect cut and using forstner drill bits will give you perfect holes every time

Love this one. I will say for aluminum and mild steel, the step bits at Harbor Freight are a great cheap option.

I recently discovered Tamar’s channel even more recently found yours. Love the content on both. I love how you give shoutouts to other channels where you got your ideas from. The CA glue/ super glue and wood glue trick is fantastic. Edit: I also like how you leave in your mistakes. I am getting into woodworking so I know I will make mistakes. Especially since I only have basic hand tools Tip: to fill holes and gaps, use glue and sawdust from the made from the same wood you are filling

I like the look, but not the sliders. I was thinking about putting addressable LEDs behind the numbers to have them light up automatically. What wood do you think would make a nice translucent light - I was thinking poplar with a colored stain. I might even use the small CNC I have to carve the image from behind so that the number looks lit up when on, but like blank wood when off.

Finally, a Time Machine made of wood and aluminum. Whenever she applies glue on the wood, she shifts the aluminum block forward by one day and the glue dries instantly! If she makes a wrong cut, she sets the aluminum block backward by one day ...

Nice project. Instead of cutting out the numbers and months in circles individually, could you just cut them in long strips. Give acetone transfer a try it might be easier too
@PneumaticAddict
@PneumaticAddict 4 жыл бұрын
I thought about that. I've never tried an acetone transfer. I should experiment with that!
