hey i just came across your channel and i wanted to say that your videos are AMAZING !!! you can tell you're so well versed on this topic and you NEVER cut corners or do things the lazy way out. While i absolutely adore self taught sewers (with wendy is an icon !!!) it's immensely refreshing to see the work of a trained designer. Thanks so much for your hard work !!!

Loved this video, and it's my 1st time meeting your channel.. this made me feel less crazy for drafting patterns on my A.i.. my mom calls it lazy, I call it convenient 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 So refreshing seeing some else do what you do and love. Thank you thank you Lydia 💕💕
@LydiaNaomi4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Haha I would argue with your mom that drafting on Illustrator is waaay more accurate! But also convenient haha!
@JANEMTV3 жыл бұрын
now just binge watching your videos,drafting on illustrator is the same as on paper,I wish i knew how to draft on illustrator seriously.

For the front bodice interfacing: do you follow where you would do a princess seam to decide where to end the interfacing? (does my question make any sense...??) EDIT: Also, do you have to finish the bottom edge of the muslin at all, or is it ok, since itll be inside the coat and the coat wont really be washed a ton?
@LydiaNaomi2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't go all the way to the princess seam it sort of stops mid chest, maybe an inch or two short. And no you don't have to finish it bottom of the interfacing as it is enclosed in a seam. You would have to get a coat like this dry-cleaned so it's not going through a lot of agitation ☺️

I am gonna get those two books as soon as I can afford a machine xD I am a humble student who just loved luxury but refuses to the pay the obnoxious high priced of quality goods, so I am going to DIY my furnitures, my shoes (not sport) and my clothes, at least that my dream :-) i love customed made, I can get how I want and I don't need to go sell my liver to get it. :-D
@LydiaNaomi Жыл бұрын
haha I totally resonate, its one of the reasons I sew, making quality clothes without spending an arm and a leg :D I hope you get your machine soon!

Could I learn from pattern process to putting it together from you in person?? I am being serious, it would be a dream come true! I don’t have space or material. I would love to buy expensive fabric and lining for this project too. If yes then I will send you my email! I don’t know if KZbin has private chat 😆

Would you make me a coat if I pay you?.. The Etsy sellers are mostly from China or some other country that does not speak English so when I give them instructions on how I want it made ..they are using Google Translate to figure out what I want and that makes me nervous. Because I feel like I'm not gonna get the coat I want. Would you make one for me if I send you instructions via email?
