Updated Idea for making these cheaper and to get per bulb control easy. Use 12 volt or 24 volt RV bulbs instead. You can then use a LED DMX decoder. 1 DC psu and decoder per stand. Wire a common postive wire on side and the grounds the other side to the decoder. Then you just patch 1 channel dimmers in series for the stand. Could even have multiple stands to one decoder if using the 32 output units.

This is really only beneficial if you want individual bulb control, right? Decoders are like 20-50 bucks (if I’m looking at the right thing) so it’s kind of a wash if you have to get one for each individual stand vs one or two DMX dimmers for everything.

@@PaulCarter206 Yes, allows for per bulb control. So if you look closely as the decoders at the price you found. Those have multiple outputs. Those outputs are RGB or RGBW leds. With single color bulbs 1 output is 3 or 4 bulbs. So you can way more density or even multiple stands on 1 decoder. Also with being 12 or 24volt bulbs, you will still quite bright and get the effect for way less power draw. That means you can have a larger overall number of bulbs. So considering a standard 4 output dimmer pack is around 100 bucks and up, the decoder method is a lot lower cost and has more advantages

I followed the instructions but I’m having a few issues. I’m using lightkey and a dimmer pack. 1. The lights at low dim are flickering 2. The lights don’t always turn on. Or delayed Any help is greatly appreciated, setting this up for our Sunday service 🙌🏽

My best guess is that you probably bought light bulbs that are not dimmable. That would cause the behavior described.

@@anttisaari9831that may be an issue with some LED bulbs as well, but yes now I believe there are dimmable LED BULBS

Why did you need a 3/4” bit to put the 1/2” conduit in the 2x6?
@WorshipLeaderHangout Жыл бұрын
A 1/2” hole just wasn’t big enough in my testing. So I had to step it up to the 3/4” bit. Perfect fit.

why is the stage black?
@WorshipLeaderHangout Жыл бұрын
Typical color for a stage. My favorites tend to be a dark wood color stain on a hard wood surface. Some go for black especially when using plywood for the surface. Carpet, laminate, wood at the end of the day it doesn’t matter.

Churches, please turn off these back lights during the sermon. Hurts the eyes to have sunlight behind the pastor. Thanks
