Nice project, you have given me some good ideas for a new outdoor table/work bench I need to build this summer. I’ll use 4 by 4s for the legs though. I have plenty of pallets. I’m tempted to buy a small 800 watt table saw similar to the one you used to rip all that wood, I always thought those small table saws had no purpose or value until I saw you use one. Perfect for pallet wood projects. Very inspirational video, thanks for making and uploading.

Thanks Steve. I am glad you got some inspiration from it. Yeah, I have gotten my money's worth out of that little saw. I wasn't expecting much from an on sale $70 table saw, but it's still doing the job. And it's really not bad for rustic builds.

That is very cool and inexpensive, just the way I like my projects. I will be working some of those things into my next mobile workbench. Thanks for the ideas.

This is fantastic, thanks for sharing! Do you have any issues with termites / wood rot? Or suggestions for preventing them?

Thanks Nat, glad you like it. I haven't had any termite issues yet, and I have a lot of wood laying around everywhere. But that's just luck, I haven't treated for termites in about 8 years. As for rot, again I have been pretty lucky so far. Even though this bench gets soaked every time it rains and when it floods it sits in about a foot of water for a week or so. It does dry out pretty quickly. If this was at the side of my house were the sun doesn't shine, it would have rotted apart by now. This bench gets direct sunlight for most of the day and always has plenty of time to dry right out. I can't imagine this bench lasting forever, and ideally I would like to have used saddles under the posts. But I was aiming for cheap. If I were to make this again or if I were to make a suggestion, I would spend a bit extra and use 50x50 RHS for the posts. Thanks again for watching and good luck with your builds. 👍
