Thank you! All of this so inspiring and beautiful! I so loved the amazing suns!!! (And I think it a very good thing to make one's own decorations and to know why we decorate, the symbolism and traditions, and also what we celebrate being it a pagan Yule and Winter Solstice or a Christian celebration of the incarnation of a holy God Child. That is, I think, what makes it all meaningful and also something that can give us strength, healing guidance and light in the long dark winter)

Hi Alwyn, not sure if your aware but the pine trees also have a natural antibacterial effect, it's been found in nests of big birds of pray as they bring carcass up for their young fledglings and as they don't take away any faecal sacks as smaller birds do, so they bring in time to time more pine branches.( my husband and son are Ornithologists also son now works for RARE BIRD ALERT in the UK). Love your Yule tree.xxx ps, not sure if I'll be able to join your live next Sunday,if not I'll catch you up later. Many blessing you'll have a lovely week.xxx

What a beautiful video! Now I want a tree that is dedicated to handmade ornaments for Yule. Maybe next year. It has been so long since I have played with salt dough. So fun! A little tip for your craft knife cutting on paper... rotate the paper instead of the knife. If you keep the knife at the same angle and area and move the paper it will give you clean cuts and make for easier turns. I like that your suns look like they are sleeping happily. It really symbolizes the sun waiting patiently to return. Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to seeing that topper!
