This is great! For the edge detail, you could also get wood veneer edge banding, which is actual wood and not too expensive :) This is the stuff they use on the exposed edges of desktops or countertops to make that veneered material look like it's real wood.

Thanks for coming back. Missed the show doesnt matter the host it brings back the old feeling of making props. Have you thought of doing anything using a 3d printer. I know a cost but since alot of people have them now it would be cool to incorporate

For battle damage, I like taking a string, soaking it in whatever paint should be showing up when the item takes damage, set my item upright, and then litterally just wildly smack the paint covered string at it about 4-5 times. It makes it feel authentic.

nice job. Fun fact: in the game this type of shield has an arm and hand strap, but in reality it should have only a handle in the middle for the hand alone, this is because it's basically a viking style shield (it has a boss in the middle for that reason).

@CartoonCorey7 жыл бұрын
We actually saw very little of the shield in the test film. I would suggest a pan up or close up of the shield, or using it in the test film. An excellent build, but your shot composition needs some work. The shot of link very small in the top left of the screen was all following room and had little focus. Also, if you forget something or make a mistake in the builds like with the handle bases, it is best to mention that before that step, so someone following along doesn't do the same thing. Good luck and keep it up!

I love Jake's energy and the way he does things, but I also kinda miss Zack. I almost wish that BFX could have a revolving door of the 3 hosts and they alternate each episode. But since that's unlikely I will continue to enjoy Jake's rendition of BFX since its still very fun and informative.
