A quick demo and real-time build of a Harmida Audio Zendrive circuit clone using a PedalPCB Mahayana PCB. I bought all the parts from www.Taydaelectr... to put it together. This is a great sounding overdrive without harsh tones. It seems to pair well with clean Fender amps!

You should get a resistor bend tree...aka Speedy Bend- Resistor Lead Forming Tool , I see available at Probe Master. It makes loading a board so much faster because you can prebend cap and resitor leads then just plug them in. Wow, the Tayda prices look like they're from the 1960's. Looks like I'm going to have to stock up! I hate the blue resistors!! I can't read the stripes for crap. I built all of the Electronic Projects For Musicians book projects back in the 80's. My dad worked in electronics so I etched all of the PC boards and had all the quality parts I needed. Three great pedals from that book are the Phase Shifter/Vibrato. Tube Sound Fuzz, and Preamp. Oh' the Super Tone Control was also great. The phase shifter on vibrato mode has an amazing slow sweep and great wide frequency shift. The Preamp is a super clean 10V increase. It allows you to take all of your old dynamic vocal mikes and turn them into the best recording mics. I really love the EV-676 through it.

Do you know if 22 or 20 gauge AWG wire would be suitable for wiring? Edit: I just noticed that the grey wire is labeled as 22

You should do a zen drive dual pedal,,, just for fun! You could talk us through how to join a dual pedal. You could also build a simple buffered switching unit.

I was just printing the shopping list for this pedal when I saw this video! I was looking at the Aion pcb, though. I wonder if it’s fairly similar...

Nice! The Aion looks to be the same 😎

That’s exciting! I’m torn as to which chip to use. The Aion recommends the NE5532P. I know JM used the Zen on the WTLI era, but I’m not sure for which songs/parts.

Hi, I'd like to build it. But before i'd like to know, if there are testing points (Volt), just to check good values, and avoiding problems, due to bad solder or anything else. Thanx

I'm not sure if anyone can answer this but, what is the difference between a 100p and 100pf capacitor. The kit I have came with four of the same and it calls for three 100pf and one 100p, I just don't want to mess anything up.

Typically dual op amps have the same pin outs. The only way to really know is to check the data sheets (or Google to see if anyone else did what you're trying to do) Thanks for your kind words! 🙌🏻

A very clean build. I am planning to build this and this will help a lot. Do you remember what knob size did you go with? Most knob sizes available at Tayda seems very big for 125B enclosure.
