HomeMadeModern but leather is a part of an dead animal that got treatment to not rot. educate yourself about the suffering of sentient beeings getting killed for leather production
@emiliana17677 жыл бұрын
HomeMadeModern maybe also fake leather? Dont want to be a buzzkill, i really love your channel and projects, but its really unnecessary to use animal skin as a cushion cover. There are plenty great and cheap options without someone have to die! Nontheless, its a beautiful project ♥️

Ben you are like the Frank Lloyd Wright of this modern era! I believe people are going to be looking to your videos well into the next century and beyond for inspiration. Thank you for your awesome inspirational ideas! I would love to see your take on a tiny house.
@TheSteveAS7 жыл бұрын
Yes! Yes! This is exactly what I wanted to transition from our dining area to our living area. Instead of a sofa, I will use your design to create a banquette for the dining table, and then a desk area behind. So cool-looking with the "zig-zag" edge -- I could see painting that plywood edge a bright color to accentuate the shape even more. Thank you Ben for continuing to "open-source" your innovations!

Excellent dual purpose sofa. Love the addition of the side table. Worth sticking around to the end.

Looking great, Ben! Such a cool design and dual use of space.

Job well done you two! Seeing this reminds me of the "modern" homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright back in his day, when the idea was to make use of every available square inch of space; when furniture was organic, natural and stylish, and minimalism didn't have to mean bleak. Once again, job well done and highly inspirational!

Hi there. I think your channel is really cool with super ideas. Just curious as to why you use construction adhesive? Conventional wood glue should be considerably stronger, particularly over time where it won't degrade. Keep knocking out those videos. Love to see your take on a tool box/tote or a work bench. Good luck.

Gonna save this for when I move into my studio apartment :) there's not much space for both a sofa and a dining table and everyday work table so this is perfect.
@ryr19747 жыл бұрын
I love it a DIY project that is, in fact, DIY in complexity and one that involves using very accessible tools. I might have used some nuts and bolts rather than screws. But I actually selected the video because I liked the design of the sofa and only realized it was a DIY tutorial after it started.
@ForwardGuidance7 жыл бұрын
Nice. I think for cold weather areas best to put it on legs and the study area in back accessed with bar stools, because low to the ground in cold weather areas is where the coldest air in the room resides.

Quite a cool design! And great video editing/production. The only improvements I might want would be arms (maybe ones that can also act as side tables or have storage like the add-on piece at the end - only higher) and a pull-out or flip-up storage under the seat. Great for a tiny space.
