Diyar-e-Dil is a story of respect, love and relations. The story spins around Agha Jan and his two children Behroze and Suhaib. It highlights a child's sacrifice for his dad's respect and for the love of his sibling. Behroze is engaged to Agha Jan's niece Arjumand since their childhood.
However Behroze doesn't acknowledge his dad's choice and is envious of wedding his classmate Rohi. The story takes a turn when Behroze left home and Agha Jan declares that the wedding will occur as booked and Arjumand will be married to Suhaib if not Behroze.Will Behroze acknowledge his dad's choice or will Suhaib be compelled to wed Arjumand?

This drama is probably the best I have ever seen. I have watched it for almost 5 or 6 times. The story is too good. The character of Agha jan is too good and this drama is full of life lessons. I watched it many years ago and used it’s life lesson in my own life and surely I have became a better person. The importance of relationships has been expressed so beautifully in this drama that can’t be described. In the ending, how the story changes is also very entertaining. Hats off to all the characters in the story. The acting of Agha ali ( May Allah grant him Jannah) , wali, Farrah, arjumand and roohi was very good. They all performed their roles very well! I guess Agha jaan will remain the most loved character

The many times I have watched this series I have always agreed with Behroze’s point of view, however now as an adult more educated aware and mature I realize that Behroze is disloyal, not wrong necessarily, but if we were to dissect his whole argument his reasoning for ending his engagement just shows his disloyalty. As mentioned my Sohaib he had no issues with the engagement till attending his university in Lahore, however he suddenly doesn’t want it when he comes back this one time. I mean yes you have the right to choose and all but dude if you didn’t want it before how come you didn’t say anything between growing up and going to university. And when you knew that you had been engaged to be married for sure then why did you not refrain from talking to other women and escalating it to that point. Also Roohi overall is not a good match, she is immature, not logical, and just emotional blackmailing. And to see this perspective imagine that in the story Behroze was actually a negative character, and using her, or overall not a good guy (so manipulative,abusive, etc) if this were the case then you would judge Roohi stupid, and immature. And for the reasons Behroze gave for not continuing with the nikkah have nothing are in valid ( except him now liking someone else of course). Well because they have nothing to do with marriage, he gives reasons of parenting styles as being reasons for not wanting the nikkah and projects the rebellion and anger he has towards his parent in a decision that doesn’t need it. Like okay your parent is authoritarian but you can’t use that as a reason for breaking the relationships around you, and just to clarify I understand Behroze can be under his fathers influence growing up and didn’t say anything. But if you compare this to other dramas where the female has this same problem with a childhood engagement, from a young age the females disagree with the decision, even if they keep it to them selves a friend, or sibling. And they keep that opinion in all environments including when they have authoritative parents, and it doesn’t matter if the opinion is expressed or not. Which if you compare with Behroze’s sudden flip after university makes Behroze just a disloyal dude tbh.
