Consider finishing the attic space above her room as an upstairs playhouse / reading area with a ladder in the future... I know it requires reframing (which isnt cheap) however only doing it above her room in the future is a cute future idea... just a thought

Ooohhhh give her a window seat if you can!!! As a girl I always wanted to sit in the window and read as I daydreamed out the window. She can watch nature all year while snug inside and be able to draw anything she sees. Maybe a bookcase on the wall on one side and desk area on the other.....with doors under the windowseat to have for pillow blanket storage

The room is pretty small so we don't have too much space to build out :) It's been a tough room for me to settle on a design but I think we have a good idea.

My only suggestion would be on the far wall (next to where closet was) to build a built in desk with bookshelves and cabinets on bottom to store games, etc. When I bought my house as a single mom, my 7 year old daughter’s bedroom already had built in drawers with desk and bookshelves. I’ve since relocated after getting remarried and my now 25 year old daughter still talks about her old bedroom and now wants something similar for her own daughter. My grand baby, Trinity who’s three years old. I can’t wait to see what you come up with, though!!!

Wow...love that window...to me that makes a room! A custom wall bench with curved arms on each end for relaxing with storage underneath for her books. I envision a fluffy cushion and lots of pillows so she can enjoy the view while reading and studying. She is going to love what you do no matter!!! Belle will always cherish that her room was custom designed by her mom and dad. Happy for you Belle !!

I did nearly the same thing you did with the furnace a few years back except with a fireplace. A customer I did not like wanted a bid to remove a gas-burning fireplace so I bid the job high and walked away. Weeks later he said "when can you start?" so I showed up and started disconnecting it, thought I was done, but he wanted the vent taken away also. I poked at it a bit and it started to come down. All three stories of it. Double-walled thick gauge steel flue. I held onto it at first but it all came crashing down in sections all over the floor and kept coming like a train crashing from the ceiling to the floor. Quite hysterical and dangerous at the same time.

Everybody give superAshley a 👍 She is amazing You 2 are awesome together. As you were pulling that framing I was yelling "LIGHT" then I hear "cRaSH!". I thought, "yup, there was a light". TFS and can't wait to see the results..peacock ideas: use matellic paints to trim the paint around the feathers of a painted mural, or fashion feathers with leaves and paint those, or use different color card stock paper to make the feathers and do the wall in the same fashion you did your bedroom walls.

Those curtains remind me of a hammock! They do have a certain charm though it's wonderful you encourage belle to have her own thoughts and style and dont force cliche 'princess or pink style' on her. 🕊🕊🕊
