I've watched every episode of your remodel and you've done a beautiful job! Your woodworking skills are just awesome.. love all the light wood and the "headboard" and floating shelves.. and the idea of putting the hole in the side for a cord. Each little detail is just perfect. The denim and jute rug is so so perfect.. I think a pale blue curtain would add to it so much.. soft blues are so calming.. .or you can get light blue blinds... and then with wood trim around the window.. would be so nice! I wish my bedroom was so nice and clean and simple! Looking forward to the next room!

I think it's gorgeous! It looks like a showroom display, and it totally has that Nordic feeling, sort of Ikea type of feeling. You've done an amazing job tying it all together, and within a budget, too! Love the light pendants also! The closet is cool. I also used a shower curtain for a closet in a spare room that never had a door on it, and I found a shower curtain that worked perfectly so it definitely is a great idea. Love your choice of color (black) on that. Can't wait to see what you do with the other rooms!

Your right that sure would help save the bed from not sitting on it to dress and that alone extends the lifetime of the mattress but it will decorate the room even more depending on the design.

Absolutely LOVE it!!!! The minimal scandinavian/nordic decor is so appealing to me! So peaceful! I like that you havent put any artwork in your bedroom. The walls are art enough ;). There is an advantage to the closet curtain not touching the floor. It makes it easier to sweep :) I love building furniture for my home as well. Right now its all basic, but sturdy and will last far longer than the cheap junk produced these days. But some day I hope my furniture looks half as good as yours! You definately have a gift! :) Thank you for always inspiring me!

I love the quilt. It is from a pattern published in a Kansas newspaper in the 30's. It was during a presidential campaign. The donkey pattern is called "Giddap a Very Democrac t Donkey"

I know this is after the fact but, what would you guys think about putting up roller doors that meet in the middle to close off the computer space and when the computer area is being used it would push out to the closets. The doors would be clear glass or even frosted. Just a thought.

Although the open closets look great, not sure how practical they are. If one only has two pairs of jeans, two sweaters, and one pair of shoes...not a problem. One of the reasons folks leave living in a tiny house is the lack of storage and closet space. Interesting it isn't important to 'hide' what's in the closets, but it is important to hide the work station. Puzzled by this. BUT, this pleases you. This is your home, and what we think is irrelevant. Thanks for posting all the videos for the reno.

There should be a balance, only doing things the way someone else would want it is strange, since it's our house and we have to live in it now. At the same time, things shouldn't be so weird where no one would like it if one was ever forced to sell, like doing black walls and red trim or something with green doors. Sometimes doing a nice-looking unique home is the selling point and makes someone want to buy it even that much more and separates it from the hundreds of other houses you're competing with out there. Not everyone wants beige walls and bifold closet doors, which might be boring for some people and the properly done unique house would stand out to them more.

Bottom half is amazing but the room is unbalanced in design all the color is on the lower half don't need to paint but curtains, art, etc to help balanced.
