not laser related, but what do you think of a CNC press brake for the next project? there are not many projects and it seems like you need one from the last vids

Haha, people were mentioning that in the last video comments….it is an interesting idea…I’ve added to my list of potential future projects, because it looks like it would be a fun project and be very useful in my workshop

Langmuir Systems TITAN 25T looks pretty accessible for the hobbyist to be honest. But yeah, it would be fun. Different kind of challenge.

They're really not something that's DIY friendly unless you have access to very large equipment. Mine is one of a few or maybe the only fully cnc controlled "homebuilt" brake. It's over 4,000lbs. You could do smaller one of a different design though. They're not cheap to build either. Better off importing a small Chinese one or the Langmuir which is pretty much a copy of my build even know they deny it lol. I'm going to be doing more videos on mine when I do some updates on it. Ditching the conventional hydraulic system and doing independent ram control with closed loop AC servo hydraulics. I have a few videos on it on my channel. I'm also doing a 5x5 1500W laser table build here soon also.

Cool, I will check out your videos!

Nice, that thing is a beast! I would definitely have to do something smaller in scale

From aprox 6:10 to 7:10 you are cutting 14 gauge steel. Two questions, is the video running at normal speed or have you sped it up? What power are you cutting at? (either watts or % of max) Great builds, now I just need to find $10K in the budget!

That footage is 300% speed, you can watch the previous video to see it at real time speed, cutting at 100% power at 1kw

Why are you not making these class 4 enclosures? Seems uber dangerous to just have clear acrylic.

For filming…I wouldn’t use acrylic if it was a production machine

Have you heard about Skyfires upcoming 1200W fiber laser cutting machine ? Apparently 600mm x 600mm working area , air cooled 1200W fiber source. What do you think so far and are they in communication with you about it?
