Are you a copper collector? If so then congratulations! The following tool is very much needed for you! In the next video I made I will show you an easy and quick way to build a tool for peeling copper wires easily. To facilitate the process of building the tool, I avoided using welding and tools that are not available to anyone. Of course, I have tried to use the materials that everyone has in their workshop or home. Certainly as a considered collector, this tool has made my life a lot better and that is why I decided to build it. So if you were looking for an easy and quick way to build such a tool watch the video and tell me what you think about it in the comments here.

Take a board clamp.it to a table drill a series of holes each larger than the last in a line keeping one edge of each hole 1 in from edge the screw 1.25in screws into the holes enough to pierce insulation after inserting wire through appropriate size hole create a crank handle to pull the wire and spool it on a dowel

Great design and tool. I would really like to build one but need more detailed plans with deminsions. What are the two tapered gears that you are usings? The plate appears to be 4" X 4" and the threaded stoch is 1/2"?

Very awesome! Now just need to hook up a dc motor to replace the crank and some kind of way to hold the wire straight with a bit of tension so you can just start the feed and it’ll do the rest automatically.

Firstly, bravo. This is amazing, and filming is superb. Adjustment - is the biggest time-waster of strippng. If you could make the blade ratchet up/down with a tumbscrew click-click-click: You'd have a massive edge over competition.

In the process of making one of these for larger cable. I have tons of 350 and 4/0 GGC cable to strip which is difficult with just a razor knife... I have an electric stripper for the individual wires, just not the entire cable diameter. Going to figure out a way to drive it with the same motor as the electric stripper I already have.

No it is not practical and easy to build for the average beginners. Where do you get those gear rollers, and if you don't have a vise how you keep this stripper unit steady? I bet you this stripper can not peel small stranded soft wire like the one that comes from extention cord or power cord from devices....
