I bought that same tool for my 73 firebird back in 1980 and haven't used it since. I still have it though. Thanks for the memory.

Very nice video. Much better than a couple others I watched before. The 2 snap rings look like the trickiest part but you showed all the steps and they were well explained. Thank you for your instruction. Sub added and a like as well.

I have a gm column in a 89 jeep Cherokee. Been using pb blaster penetrating oil a torch, and a steering wheel puller. Cannot get the steering wheel off and i have bent the bolts for the puller. Hope this hammer and mega punch work. All this for a ignition switch

You did that exactly like I have done it probably a hundred times. I was parked in Home depot parking lot with my Sonoma a few years back and a guy broke my window and knocked a hole in the top of my column and started my truck and and was going to steal it. Someone came up and saw what he was doing and walked up to the truck and started acting like he was going to shoot him or something. The thief jumped out of the truck and ran. When I got out to my truck, it was sitting there running. I drove the truck up to the front door and the security guard come up to tell me I couldn't park there. I told him what had happened and we went in and looked at the video and that is how I know what happened. I almost lost my truck and would have if that guy hadn't run the thug off!!!

I'm having an issue with a 1971 chevelle malibu lock cylinder now it's stuck in the lock position. I've presses inside the hole that release the cylinder but no action. Question by drilling the cylinder will it be able to come out after drilling?
@danob53003 ай бұрын
I have a similar question do I need the key to take out the cylinder since the steering wheel is locked bc I have lost the key
@rayjohnson78863 ай бұрын
@danob5300 Was the 🔑 able to come out with the switch in any position if it would try an old 🔑 put a little pressure on the steering wheel and jiggle the switch as if you trying to turn it.
