@@cinystarr4657 correct. In ca they use to have drivers education in 10th grade. They took that out and should have kept it in. Even how to fill a job application. I’m glad when I went to school in the 80s we learned how to type, fix a car, how to cook even do our taxes.

About the garlic, once they have roots, you need to separate them in individual to plant, about 6” apart , not the whole bulk like that, each clove will grow to one bulk of garlic .😀

While transplanting the garlic into soil , you can separate each clove of the garlic pod and plant them . Every garlic clove will grow to give a full cluster of complete bulb.

It would be easier using foam egg containers, got enough for 12 onions and garlic bulbs in one container, I use them for growing seedlings of all kinds and ur recycling and protecting the environment. 😀

@@WanderlassS this is what I did, I cut or separated the top and bottom of the foam egg carton , the side eggs sit on, I took the center of them, pour water in the lid of the carton and set the bottom with the holes on top of the part with the water then set the garlic and onion bulbs on the holes making sure water touch the bulbs, wait a few days and u'll see roots developing. I also split the carton as above poke small holes in the bubbles filled with dirt and planted my pepper seeds, soon it have growth and proceeded to transfer to pots. Easy way of start plants, it sure worked for me. I also use plastic 16oz water bottles that I slice the top, invert it and set it in the bottom of the bottle filled with water, then set my garlic or onion bulbs in the inverted top, within day I got roots that I transfer to pots, quite easy and I'm just a newbie watching videos on utube! 👍😊

@@Squee_Dow hi, because garlic needs a cold dormant period, it needs to be separated in to single cloves so it can grow and form a bulb of its own. Also the tops of leaves have been clipped, this inhibits growth. Hope that helps,

Não é assim que se cultiva cebola e muito menos o alho Inclusive se você for olhar os outros comentários em inglês também estão falando a mesma coisa Não adianta eu pegar uma cebola inteira e plantar novamente, elas só dão a quantidade de bulbos que já tem, se for 1 vai continuar apenas 1, se já estiverem no tamanho adulta provavelmente vai apodrecer Precisamos tirar no mínimo metade dela, e que podemos usar para comer, eu corto uns 80% dela E o alho deve ser plantado dente por dente, cada dente virará 1 cabeça de alho, mas tem que ser o nacional, o importado é muito difícil de virar O plantio até está certo, mas o tamanho da cebola e os alhos todos juntos não estão

Separate each Garlic gloves ones has roots on them and plant it 3 inches apart works best.

I was wondering too the garlic should separate then it will grow and produce big whole cloves..but how come he plant it the whole round..how to produce big whole garlic?it will be the same big?or are they gonna grow another big whole garlic?whats the purpose of planting whole cloves?..just to preserve them not to be rotten?

Para los que dicen que solo se siembra con semillas les puedo comentar que cuando inició la pandemia mi niña se aburría mucho así que hicimos un pequeño huerto y del centro o corazón de la cebolla que ocupaba en la cocina fuimos sembrando el resultado fué que en cada plantación cosechamos de 3 a 4 cebollas medianas. No sacó flor se doblaron los tallos cuando estaban listos y con respecto a los ajos es mejor separar los dientes.

Si correcto; de cada cebolla se puede obtener tres nuevos bulbos, sin necesidad de este desperdicio de tierra, agua y tiempo. Las cebollas pueden producirse a partir de semillas o de propágulos (bulbos pequeños). Las hojas que cortan en el video sin ninguna necesidad ni sentido son ALIMENTO que puede emplearse para dar sabor a sopas y condimentar carnes.

@@comemaiz pensé lo mismo! Esos tallos verdes son muy ricos y aportan mucho sabor a cualquier plato. Yo lo uso para condimentar arroz y queda muy bueno, tanto del ajo como la cebolla
