It's so valuable to see a renovation on an average-sized closet, because so many houses have tiny closets, and there are non-bedroom rooms with closets that could use this kind of upgrade.

Sam, I COMPLETELY understand about exhaustion. We have a huge flip house and my wife and I did yard work - a ton of tree and vine clearing in one spot. It took us two solid nine hour days of cutting down dead trees, removing rocks (the prior owners had several fire pits worth or rocks because the wife collected rocks from trips and dumped them in those areas - don't ask), removing stumps to preserve the trees that did need help. They were SO choked with vines it was amazing they lived through it. Then there was the fencing that was BURIED in the ground - who does that! My Recip-saw was quite hot when I was done from usage - use a pruning blade for that and it works great and, my recip-saw is pro-grade. So, I get tired. Love your projects Sam. Is that the microphone on your shirt? I'm guessing it is for videos.

You should look into making shelving in between the studs! One of my friends took out the drywall on the bathroom side and built shelving in between the studs. She left one open to the side of her vanity, and then did another one over the vanity and put a mirror door on it. She went from 0 storage to being able to have decor on her open shelves

You are right. You don't really know what you need and what you don't until you have lived in a house for a while. Then you can make changes that are mindful and not impulsive.

There was like a weird slightly darker blob in the upper left corner of the closet and I couldn’t figure out WHY you wouldn’t correct the painting mistake. Then I realized I’m just a slob and it was just crap stuck on my screen. Whoops. Sorry for doubting you Sam! The sliding door is great! It takes up so much less floor space in the room when you need to access the closet.

I feel your pain with an old house with plaster walls. They’re great. They’re also a huge pain in the ass a lot of the time. Mine are littered with anchors to be able to hang things where I want.

Don’t you just love these people that “renovate” their closet and in the after shot they have 1/4 of the stuff they had originally. Where did the rest of the stuff go? If you would gave removed 75% of your stuff to begin with it wouldn’t have looked messy.
