I refer to the 50's from when my older siblings, aunts, and grandmom were doing them. But many of the things that were around in the 70's and 80's when I was growing up are super popular too. @mackenziezeckowski56633 жыл бұрын
Totally cute! For the back tho, there are many different ways to finish off a project that are more long lasting. Like a whip stitch around the edges so the edge doesn’t fray. Or glueing back the edges first then lay down the felt. Also when it comes to glue, craft glue isn’t the best for floor projects because dries hard and it’s less easy to clean. I recommend spray glues or carpet clues. (And I’m not a random person saying this, I’ve been punch needling for almost 2 years now and this advice is from trial and error)

I found an old halfway completed punch rug in a junk store for $5. Loved it so much, even with the printed pattern showing through, that I framed it and have it on my wall. One of my favorite pieces of art. And it had a small old tag that I was able to trace to a department store that closed in 1950... so this rug kit was sold in the 1940s probably. It’s lovely with Japanese cherry blossoms on a sea green border. One day I’m sure this tiger will hang on someone’s wall as a treasured artwork.
