For efficiency and clean burning the burn chamber should be around the same temperature for all settings, The difference is the volume of air heated.

Hi Just got a LF Bros unit for the ice fishing tent. Right now it's -24 C In Manitoba. Plan on setting up the tent tomorrow in the yard to see what it can do.

@@maxanderson4278 It worked fine. heated it up to about +9 C in the tent. If you were going in and out of the tent often you would probably need another source of heat as well.

The pumps will have a ml rating on them, usually 0.06ml per click, times that by the Hz rate, times by 60 seconds, times by 60 minutes. That is your exact fuel consumption. Hoping to get one fitted tonight in the van but it's dark now and -2C

just to clarify on how you report electricity consumption, you use the measurement of kWh or Ah used and how long it was run for while being tracked. this gives you an accurate amount of energy used over a set amount of time. not how many cents you pay per day, nor how many watts its currently using. i do appreciate your info gathering.

In you personnel or professional opinion would you recommend this for heating a 500 Sq.Ft. park model R.V.? Can you use a longer split hose or possibly hook into the existing duct work? The video is very, very informative. Going to have to check out some of you other videos. God Bless.

@DIYJIM mine kept over heating so in tuning I dropped hz .2 and raised minimum fan to 2200

Mine I run while burninging some avocado oil heater, on low, my solsr runs it well and keeps my shack high enough for me to wear shorts in the teens. Cool video and if ppl seal off the cold air, its teice as effective as the garage area. My shack is about the same size but sealed off, I barely put on anything but shorts and a tank top cause i use a separate fan to help push the heat around, same fan takes the heat up by the celling and brings it back down as it flows past the heaters again.

I think these heaters alway have a 0ppm CO reading because it doesnt have open combustion to the space being heated. It heats the fins around the combustion chamber and a fan moves air over them. All the gases are vented through the exhaust outside. I like the ideas where people run some extra exhaust pipe and a fan, or radiant heater before going outside to scavenge the heat from the exhaust.

if you think of it you are puting heat in the space. If r value is good enough you can heat a bigger space than rated or smaller its relitive. not knocking it i bought one i like the idea of it for deer camp

Just ran a test on mine and got 16 hours on high on 1.2 gallons on road diesel. I put a board like that in my window with the vent pointing inside but ran the unit outside. Tested for emergency use. It was 20°F outside and kept my 1600 sq. Foot house at 71°F. It's a newer home so it's well decently insulated. 8 hours on the house and 8 hours on the shed btw. Not the full 16 hours on just the house. Nice ti know I can run this for 10 hours easy on a gallon of diesel. I'm in East Tennessee preparing for this ice storm tomorrow and i got 5 gallons on hand and planty more down the road at a neighbors if I need more lol. I use a solar generator for power outages so I'm good on power. We'll see what the storm brings.

In the UK one gallon can be as much as £6 a gallon. This has me questioning this idea. How does this compare to your local cost?
@DIYJIM10 күн бұрын
Diesel is around $3.93 a gallon here in PA
@BlondieHappyGuy10 күн бұрын
Depending on which "gallon" size being referred to, in the UK, I believe you also use Imperial gallons as we do here in Canada. Here, 1 imperial gallon is 4.55 liters. In the US, 1 US gal is 3.785. If my math is right, at $3.93 per US Gal, would be about $1.04 per liter. Around these parts, we haven't seen gasoline or diesel that low in a few years now. Today, the lowest gas per liter was $1.459, while diesel was around $1.607 per liter.
@Jobey_999 күн бұрын
@@BlondieHappyGuy I just worked it out, 1 imperial gallon for me in the the UK is $11.83 CAD or $8.19 USD. That's going from £1.45 per litre. even with the costs I have one of these on order to heat a small garage workshop that has no power. my plan after everything is setup is to run on red diesel as it's around half the price here.

What are you talking about three cents a day with kilowatt hours is this AC or DC? I have only seen one other one that is AC and DC both. Diesel is expensive just to run it for a day would cost you $10 where I live
