@chezg806 last Halloween , my first year crafting. I painted 2 single story houses black. Windows and trim gray. This year, I am going to turn them into a 2-story house. Change colors of the trim and windows. I did however, add pieces of drape cloth on some of the windows and put a small fan in front of the houses so the drape would flow with the wind. I added small red lights inside the houses. I love watching these videos from these very talented people.

My wife came across your Halloween video and insisted that I come in and watch it. Freaking Fantastic!! Not only are your concepts amazing, but you certainly renewed my faith to take a closer look when shopping at Dollar Tree. Thank you ! Watching you work was a feast!! Your work is so ( and I hate using these DIY terms), High and and spot on!!! We actually looked forward to watching the entire Halloween Crafting Event!! Your work is so precise and not ‘sloppy’. If something no matter how less significant, if it’s wrong or not quite right you went back and fixed it. In a vast ocean of Diy sites this was like finding a treasure island!!! My wife has been an incomplete quadriplegic for 14 years. We are using Crafting as a source of therapy to help her as well as inspire her especially in times when she struggles with the down side of her condition and discouraging times. Well done!!! It's kind of funny in a way about the dollhouse. It looks like they took molds from the old Adams Family toy house and turned them into doll houses. I love it! I'm doing haunted houses with the plain wood house signs, I'm taking 2 of each of them using tower game blocks to attach them together and cut up jumbo craft sticks for the roofs, they are turning out pretty cool so far! There were 5 different shaped houses and then a small one that had a wood stand... I think I'm going to buy a bunch of those plastic houses there are two different ones if I can find them up here in Canada and try to make a Christmas village, I thought you could even mount them onto a board like a huge shadow box and then hand it up on a wall or something! I love the stuff you make you're very talented in taking things and doing something else with them you inspire me to make things also!

I love watching these transformations! The thing that always gets me though is like "go to dollar tree and buy $20 worth of materials and make this!" But I can buy a cheap Halloween decoration for $5 at Walmart. That's why I like watching artists, such as yourself, doing this stuff but I could never afford it! Anyway this came out great.
@diykarem2 жыл бұрын
It is true, the enjoyment of crafting is definitely the variable that makes it worth it. I do enjoy trying to make dupes of expensive items cheaper, but there are definitely some crafts where it ends up costing more to create it yourself, and also the time commitment.
