This pattern is for 0 till 3 months old. Increase 3 more rows for a 4 months old Child in the base. Then do the stars point with the same decrease. You have more rows than she explains . Have fun ❤

This is really beautiful. Sorry to bother you dear. I need to know the total length and width for one year baby. And also that how much the was the pentgon measurement. I did some chrochet in childhood and now wish to make this superb design of urs for ma grand child. I have aleady started it with a thinner strand of wool. Thats why i need exact measurent instead of the stitch counts or row counts.

It's a total height of 70cms fits 1 year aged kids... if you are looking for infants or just born total height of 50cms is good... pentagon can be upto 25cms and triangles will add up another 25cms... to be on a safer side go for 55cms

Depends on the size of the project and the weight of the yarn... I have used 250gms approx for this project.. it measures 75cms from top to bottom tip

One question: when you crocheted the star hands, you made a foundationless crochet stitch with 26 stitches. Does the first chain 3 act as the first stitch of those 26? Thanks for your help

You can try, but it might come upto 6 months baby... For 0-3 reduce the no.of rows for Pentagon itself

Thank you for your comment... I've used 8ply yarn and 5 mm hook and this measures 70 inches, fits for 1 year baby... You can use 4ply yarn with 3.5mm hook and follow this same pattern for 6months baby...

Please check the measurement... My project measures 70-75cms around... It fits 1 yr old.. for just born 50cms is good enough... So Pentagon should be around 25-30cms
