I love how in the USA homes have a spot to do laundry with a nice large sized Washer and Dryer. Most older homes in Northern Europe, well we just don't have this luxury, so you'll mostly find the washing machine in the kitchen. Most people do not have a dryer as they are too expensive to run, so the clothes line during the better weather months does the trick and radiators and clothes horses during the wintery months. My goodness what a gorgeous Laundry/Sun room.... again another beautiful, elegant job has been completed.

My laundry (washing machine) is in the cupboard in the kitchen. Shared with the brooms, mops, cleaning materials, loo paper storage, recycling bin, clothes horses (2), car cleaning stuff, and spare laundry basket used as storage suspended over the tub. I do have a dryer for emergencies which is in a cupboard downstairs in the carport. But as you say, it's too expensive to use routinely. Besides, the washing smells better when dried outside on the clothesline in the sun if any.

My laundry room looks similar on a much smaller scale. A repairman was out our house one day and he came out to where I was and said, “Ma’am, I have never seen such a cute laundry room and I have seen a lot of laundry rooms.” Haha! I didn’t know what he was going to tell me, but that is not at all what I was expecting! 😂 Great job! A sink…no, a sink and a whole countertop is a DREAM! 😍

We live in a small house no laundry room; our small stackable washer and dryer are in a closet along with coats. But the cabinet in the middle of the machines gave me a good idea. I can fit a narrow cabinet to store laundry and cleaning products. I love watching your channel and always look forward to your projects.

Have you sealed your stone floors? That way the dirt won't stain them. Also another project for Andrea is to create a panty/closet on the wall where you have the coat hooks...it would hold more items if it included a shelf or two and no clutter would be seen. Baskets for misc. and hanging rod for coats. Could maybe even include one side with hooks for back packs and the other side for hanging coats.

Had to use a front loader for a year. Then, we got a top loader. Top loader forever!

I absolutely love the finished look! An actual laundry room one can sit in and do laundry with a view. The use of the space with a nice size deep freezer!! Never thought this is one place in a house you can actually be in like one of the rooms.

It looks beautiful all expect the freezer in in front on a closet/linen closet.. I would modify the closet to fit the freezer with upper shelving .. remove the door and retrofit the freezer with shelving on top .. make it look like a built in..

I thinks its funny that you said you will never have a front load washer again. I feel just the opposite - I dumped my three year old top loader to go back to a front loader and it does a MUCH better job. The makeover looks awesome!

Never thought about changing a picture mat color with spray paint before. Great idea. I'm impressed with the laundry sink setup. I can do almost anything with wood, but my world falls apart when I attempt plumbing. The room looks really elegant. Cheers!

Top loading washing machines are seen as very old fashioned here in Europe. To keep a front loader from smelling if you are not using it on a regular basis (eg 1x a week) then don’t close the door and leave the detergent tray slightly open.

You did a beautiful job. I don't think you're going to like having the towel right in front f the sink. Whenever you are at the sink the towel will slip off onto the floor. My husband likes to keep a towel on the oven handle and when I'm cooking it always falls off. I get so mad I just kick the towel into the corner. I just love you both. I agree with you Andrea I don't like front load washers . I like top loaders they get your clothes cleaner !!!! My washer broke my daughter put her front loader in my garage and shoved my washer out in the yard I didn't know this until the repair man called me and told me there wasn't anything wrong with my front loader washing machine . I told him I had a top loaders . He said there was a top loaders outside the side door of my garage .
