I don't think it's a boring beige, I think it's a nice, fresh, classy blank canvas for your son to add his personal touches to with his own art. People need to remember, we are seeing the room before it's lived in, once Levi spends time in his lovely new room, it will have his boyish signature all over it.

Hey! Beige is back! I just did our living room, dining-l, foyer and hallways ( that are all continuous) and get so many compliments. All the builder/flipper gray fad around here is fading out. The rooms looks great to carry Levi through to his early adult years and beyond. One thing I’d change is I would swing the bed to run along the wall toward the bookcase. I think It would open room up more…allow more space. Great job, Andrea and Dean👏👏👏! How sweet Levi has his Dads name for his middle name.

Why should it surprise me .....whatever changes Andrea does in the house, ( or in other houses) with the support from Dean...ends up great and so perfect!! the colours, the furniture, the decoration, everything always matches so well! Over looking the hanging doors on the bookcase, I sort of forgot about them, but I think it’s an important lesson for your children to see you two not only start projects but keep working on them until they are completed. So many start projects that are never completed and that’s not a good lesson for your children. The thing that I don’t like is that the video was just too short! I was really into it when it ended! Loved how Levi just looked so happy and pleased and kept showing just how grateful he is for his room makeover! By the way, I love that he’s an artist, I’m an artist, my husband was an artist, our son is an artist and my three grandchildren are artists, two of them being award winning artists, and one great granddaughter is an artist as well! At one time my second grandson was accepted into Booker T, however because he lived out of the district and all of the open slots were filled with students living in Dallas, he never got to attend. Andrea, that pedigree and mani still look good, nobody could guess how hard you work by looking at them! 😊

Levi’s room is such a fun retro aesthetic. I get the repairs costing more than the actual value of the car. I just replaced mine after almost 20k of repairs in the last few years. 😳🤯😢 I hope you enjoy your new van and have a great time and make the best memories!

The pictures with thin layers of wood (or veneer) use the technique called marquetry. In the UK in the 60s you could buy marquetry kits with premade pieces - great to have as Xmas presents as a kid!

The room is masculine yet still fun. So happy he loves it. That paneling is a huge upgrade from the drywall. I do think we need details on Andrea’s nails. They always look fabulous. Dip powder? How do you keep them so nice with all the projects?
