What an incredible line-up! Love listening to Candido seamlessly moving through so many changes in time signature, tempo, and rhythms ... Afro, bolero, swinging tumbao, and more ... so sweet.

Check Jon's playing w Thad Jones-Mel Lewis, he was like 19-20 and his phrasing was like a cat that had been playing lead trumpet for 30 years, he's always been one of my fav's, though he plays even better today, I dug his sound better in the '70's.

Great musically, but awful sound mix, so typical of US broadcasters. Not credited here, but it was indeed a great band, as "thejfvoice" noted.
