I relate to Hopsin's desire to work on his own, creatively. I'm the same way. He has built an entire brand for himself... produces all his own songs... engineers himself... I completely relate to what he's doing... I don't think he'll ever grow into an artist who wants to give up his creative control... that's how he produces his best material... AND ITS WORKING. Maybe having a label isn't the best thing for Hop. Or... maybe he'll let go of some of his creative control... which can be VERY hard when you're an artist who does it all yourself. You get very comfortable with your creative process... you have a very specific vision for how you want your art to sound... so I don't think him teaming up with other people is ever gonna work.

Yeah I can see why everyone's mad at Hopsin now. This was YOUR label and this situation was very salvageable. The other phrase that stuck out to me was "the label was over in 3 conversations". That's very telling. They never even met FACE TO FACE. All this was done over the phone. But yeah Dame and Hop could've gotten past this. I still support all of them but I definitely won't enjoy their music the same as I did when they were a unit.

Perhaps Hopsin could have done more but Dizzy is tripping. Hopsin always showed music at exactly the same rate as Funk Volume facebook did. Which is run by Dame. Also the whole not working hard thing. Dizzy is just making that up. Dizzy even admits Dame said to Hop several times "You don't even work hard Hop." If Dame just said that then he meant in general. And the guy made more music than the rest of the label. Dizzy and Jarren didn't make enough music imo for people that didn't have much success individually. Hopsin was the big guy on that label, he had a pretty big fanbase and they did shows together and shit so most fans there were Hopsin fans. And Dizzy and Jarren got paid even though they would never get that solo. Hopsin is the reason these dudes made some pretty nice money. Dizzy always talks about the grind, but how did he put in work? Really I saw Hopsin way more than Dizzy or Jarren. And I actually really like Jarren but come on now. Also how Dame gonna tell Hopsin that but not Swizz who made no music at all? Because he's family. And as soon as Hopsin leaves, Swizz is back? Probably 'cause Dame knows he not getting no money now. Now I can't talk about shit behind the scenes and perhaps Hopsin didn't promote enough or whatever or did interviews and blabla. But come on now, he's the reason Funk Volume made money. It wasn't Dizzy or Jarren bringing that in. This 8 day old interview has 8.5k views bruh, come on now. If Funk Volume was still together this would have a lot more. So perhaps Dizzy is just salty like Dame that now he won't make the dough he used too make when Hopsin was still there. Dizzy also says they didn't collab enough and shit. But Hopsin put quest verses with Jarren and Dizzy on his album though? Hopsin's album gets bought the most so those fans hear Dizzy and Jarren's verses and that helps them. So wtf is he even talkin' about. I made this huge post 'cause I actually followed Funk Volume and liked some of Hopsin and Jarren's music and their music together was dope imo. But Dizzy was doing the least of that label. So how are you gonna sit there and say Hopsin didn't do interviews and blabla, but Dizzy barely made any music?
@soheiladam7510
@soheiladam7510 8 жыл бұрын
you made some good points. yeah dizzy is mad cuz he liked the platform and the money was good. but he shouldn't have said that about Hop and tha fans calling them anti everything if they were they wouldn't listen to your music. that was low from him which i never saw Dizzy do.

Right! Hopsin doesn't always diss people, and that was pretty disrespectful of Dizzy to say some shit like that, that's like a sneak diss at Hop, hop talks about real shit, of course Dizzy does too, but you can't be draking all the time and what I mean by draking is switching sides all the fucking time, one minute your hard, then the next you soft singing to females like you a female yourself, thefuck dizzy? I'm a fan of both , but that really made me mad saying hop only makes diss songs, Why should hop make turn up songs? isn't that what variety of artists are for? No I don't want to hear the same artists I hear spit real shit do some turn up songs. Even though some artists can do that I rather that for more variety of artists. Plain and simple.

Day that's just your perception, it doesn't matter if Dizzy and Jarren promoted, without Hop they can't get that amount of exposure that he can give them. and he work harder than them both, that's a fact, you can ask Jarren who work the hardest, he ganna say Hop. Dame couldn't get those guys to the next level that they wanted, and he was taking too much money for his work.

For all those supporting Dizzy and dissing Hopsin, put yourself in each of their shoes. Dizzy was a nobody with run of the mill music whose entire career began because Hopsin gave him a chance. Dizzy should be thankful for Hopsin, and yet the interview is all about "me, me, me". Dizzy says he is loyal but then comes back with "I'm not a follower, I don't trust anyone". He forgets that he got started because of Hopsin, but all he can say is that Hopsin left and screwed Dizzy. He talks about how he likes that Funk Volume allowed artists to be independent and grow their own way, but then cries that Hop wasn't around enough to babysit Dizzy. He says that it was no big deal that Dame threw shade at Hopsin even though we all know Hop works hard af. Imagine if your boss told you that you weren't working hard. I'd take the next available job at the local rivals and show that fool up. On the other hand Hopsin was a self-starter who gave opportunities to artists who he thought would work hard and make use of his trust. He took himself and Dizzy and Dame and everyone else on the label from nothing to something. He signed Dizzy despite conflicting styles because he wasn't shallow like Dizzy throwing jabs at him. You hear Dizzy repeatedly making fun of Hopsin's music in this interview, but you never heard Hopsin make fun of Dizzy. Dizzy if a classic example of a leach. He hooks on, stays along for the ride and gets his fill, then when the ride is over he doesn't even say thanks. He just wants more. Put yourself in both people's shoes. I side with Hopsin. Dizzy should be grateful, not sour.

The issue, dizzy is trying to be as real as he can to the guy that put him on and made him who he is. He isnt going to throw hop under the bus and air everything out, but you gotta admit. The new hopsin is on some OTHER SHIT. that nigga is going off now, the new label sparked a new fire inside him. But dizzy is still on REAL nigga. much respect.

what dizzy said made alot of sense. Hop was just in his feelings. Maybe starting his own label where he is in full control is the best thing for Hop. I think it worked out well for Dizzy too cause he wasn't a good fit for FV anyway. I would like to see him form a label with Demrick, Young Gully, Trademark Skydiver, Young Roddy, and Vince Staples that would be colde than funk volume imo

Hop was always a hard worker. Other than the bests Hoppa made, he made all of his beats. Him and George Orozco shot all the videos and he releases a project almost every year. And he had a role on a TV show last year. So he was always a hard worker, Dame just didn't see it

dizzy was speaking the truth on some real shit, especially when hes like don't make your career about dissing other rappers who just tryna feed their families, I stopped fcken with hop for a while because I felt the same, he was just out to diss other mainstream rappers, an example being dissing kendrick for what?being short? kendrick one of the best in the game right now, also the fact that dizzy said I'll take that L with you cuz I'm riding with you shows how loyal he is, I'm still a fan of hop cuz at the end of the day he spits some of the realest shit I've heard, but he was wrong for ending funk volume and leaving his squad behind the way he did, especially since dizzy n the rest worked hard for funk volume, dizzy was riding wit hop and the fact that he just left n ended things like that was kind of like a slap in the face to him.

Hopsin had more insight than Dizzy. When you have one person in control all all hierarchical financial decisions, overhead, who is siphoning money from people, and putting someone down who puts their heart in soul into everything, that's a problem. As a grown man, Hopsin decided to be America in the British-American war. I don't see anyone saying how immature we were for not dealing with tyranny. Same difference in a music-production. Maybe it came down to him not wanting anyone else to be able to control/slow him down, and I can dig that.
