A lot of times criminals will not lawyer up and accept interrogation because they believe it will make them appear more innocent, because victims with a clean conscious tend to cooperate by default. The problem is they forget that they are dealing with officers who do this shit for a living, they deal with lying criminals all day and have 10, 20, 30 years of experience backing them up. These guys are completely out of their league with these half baked lies and don't even realize it. Getting a lawyer might raise suspicion, but its better then thinking you can fool police veterans.

The shooting caught Bortland off guard. That's why he ducked he thought it was a drive by at first but, realize quickly the shots came from inside. Bortland actually told what happened that night in a subliminal messages in his statement to the police. About beef that was supposed to be squashed but, wasn't. How he was driving not shooting. His head is so fucked up because now he's in the middle of a homicide investigation. Bortland was dragged into this nightmare. He followed orders. All he's worried about is keeping his family safe. Bortland didn't see this murder coming. If melly is the killer. Something popped off in the car. That made him shoot sak and juvy. Because I believed he had some animosity towards sakchaser about the inappropriate photos, the disrespect Instagram to his mom, and supposedly a fight they had a couple of days before the murders. I believe something probably was said to set melly off.

I think they did think they got slid on but it was a drug deal gone wrong or some shit.. if they thought for a minute Melly was involved they wld have picked him up. They knew it wasn’t Bortlen bcos they did a gun residue test
