About 16 years ago I was on my way to work in London and I used to ride my bicycle in front of BBC studios , in that day the road was closed , I went to the security guard and asked why and he's said that red hot chili peppers were about to do a show live and the whole thing was free , I called sick straight away to work and went to see the concert !!! I always liked Rock and binge listened to all kinds of bands, from Iron Maiden to Nirvana, but I never really played much attention to lyrics, as being a non-native English speaker, most of the time it is really hard to figure out what they are actually speaking, but I read the lyrics for this song today, just out of curiosity, and oh boy they bared the darkness under the shining lights of Hollywood. When I was a 10 years old kid I bought this concert on DVD from “HMV” and watched this on my brothers player a million times.... literally everyday. Rediscovering this now at 28 is magical. I don’t know why but it makes me cry. Still an amazing performance
