I always liked Rock and binge listened to all kinds of bands, from Iron Maiden to Nirvana, but I never really played much attention to lyrics, as being a non-native English speaker, most of the time it is really hard to figure out what they are actually speaking, but I read the lyrics for this song today, just out of curiosity, and oh boy they bared the darkness under the shining lights of Hollywood. It is true they don't make these kinds of songs anymore, its all about sex, drugs, lambos, parties, heartbreak and a complimentary dosage of depression.

I was at this gig and I have to say it was magical from start to finish and I was soooo happy they have documented its greatness. Everytime I see it I want to be back in that place/zone. Fruciante sounded like an angel that day, and cemented his genius in my eyes. Highlights are too many to name but this was special particularly the intro. The actual intro of the gig gives me goosebumps every time. They came they saw they rocked they conquered.

This is the greatest RHCP Song ever. The music is out of this world and speaks differently everytime you listen to it. Aged like a fine wine. Only emotions not words can do justice to this song.

These are some of the finest lyrics ever written. "Cobain can you hear the Spheres (Foo Fighters) singing songs off Station To Station". Which is the Bowie album that FF used to cover frequently. Of course, Chad Smith and Taylor Hawkins were great friends. So many great connections here.
@hosseinmobahi4841 Жыл бұрын
Cool! I did not know about these connections.
@kenclarke5966 Жыл бұрын
What do you think he meant by spheres? music of the spheres?
@281shaker Жыл бұрын
@@kenclarke5966 the term Foo Fighter is from WWII when fighter pilots would see sphere-like UFOs in the skies. In this case “spheres” refers to Foo Fighters.

Man that intro is like a sci-fi communication noise, Frusciante is the best. And his vocals man, angelic. He’s so vital to the band, much more than just guitar, his voice is a whole layer of their music. Seeing him on stage and his presence is also such a gift.

The intro itself I'd love to go on for longer!! What a great performance of a song that defines RHCP completely as a band!
