The real deal is American Blacks are the most creative ppl on this planet. EVERYBODY bites off them. Im of Jamaican heritage and grew up in the Bronx in the 70s and 80s. Been down with hip hop since 1976. Saw the beginning of this culture before there were MCs and the DJ was the star. Grew up around Black Americans, West Indians and Puerto Ricans and Black Anericans set the trends and others follow. Sure ppl try to put their own twist on things but the foundation is from the FBAs.

You can’t say that. If you wanna get technical it all originated in AFRICA for you to sit there and type that AMERICANS invited this and that is false . Indigenous people have been around for centuries the dichotomy is created because of who’s first and who’s better but White people Black have stolen from Indians and Asians . Yes blacks are very creative but so are other races everybody borrows and takes from one another we should embrace not create division. But I’ve notice more and more that when Latinos are mentioned blacks always wanna take our shine . The number one hater is black people . I see it everyday , if you wanna be honest . We have hip hop legends who are black saying that we are just as important to the urban culture and everything that’s happening in hip hop as black people . Stop the hate . Just embrace what we have contributed. The number one music in the world is REGGAETON. Made by a fusion of other genre but create by RICANS. Without us hip hop would absolutely not exist becuse blacks did not invent rapping either . Do your research before you make assumptions.

As of May 29, 2024, a federal judge ruled that a copyright infringement lawsuit against nearly 2,000 reggaeton songs can move forward. The lawsuit was filed in April 2023 by Cleveland “Clevie” Browne and the estate of Wycliffe “Steely” Johnson, Jamaican dancehall producers who released the 1989 instrumental track “Fish Market”. The lawsuit claims that the song's drum pattern, known as the dembow riddim, was illegally sampled or copied by more than 100 artists, including Bad Bunny and Karol G, in nearly 2,000 songs. The dembow riddim is a boom-ch-boom-chick percussion style that is featured in many reggaeton songs

Yep, a true Legend but he did not create Hip-Hop not 1 percent. Like he said it started back in the 60's but we black people know that Hip-Hop started even B4 the 1960's and we have the proof. So, we as in FBA's are not going to let anyone take credit for the achievements of Foundational Black Americans in this Country anymore, the highjacking's are over. This is a New time and a New Generation of Foundational Black Americans in this Country. Living in the neighborhood while Hip-Hop was being created is understandable but it still has nothing to do with Creating Hip-Hop because you lived upstairs, around the corner or down the block from the black people who Created Hip-Hop does not give you the right to put "false truths" out into the atmosphere.

But what I realize over the years is, it’s OK for every culture to have an opinion about black Americans, but as soon as black Americans can get some education and learn about other ethnicities and culture y’all try to downplay our knowledge. It is sickening. I’m not religious but it sounds like psalms 83. All these other nations are confederate against us and “we” are the only ones that don’t see it!!!

I got chills about DJ Charlie Chase meeting Big Pun and Pun's reaction because Latinos have always been there along side Africans participating and creating what we now call Hip Hop. Peace Nore and EFN for giving the best interviewers for the Hip Hop Community. This man is a legendary figure in the origins. 🇦🇫🇵🇷
