I’m glad Melo acknowledged that Amare was the one who made it cool to play in NYC again. People overlook what Amare did and give most of the credit to Melo.

He made it cool for a short period. Then they became garbage again. That run did not produce much winning. Julius started this process to where the Knicks are now.
@wadingthru
@wadingthru 7 ай бұрын
@@Zeus0886 it was short because of the Melo trade. STAT was the first star player to embrace the pressure of NYC in a long time. It was a great moment getting Melo but that trade gutted the team of important pieces that made the Knicks attractive to Melo that year in the first place.

These type of Podcast (this is the best one imo) are great because I know some die hard Knicks fans who felt like Julius quit on the team. I lowkey was like, there is NO WAY he quit on a team like the one they just had grinding through the playoffs. I’m sure he’s super locked in now. The Knicks organization finally got it right. As a New Yorker I’m hype for what this brings to NYC hoop culture fasho.
