@@I8one2Many it's from "The Funky Breaks" not "Essential Mix." And Djs don't just play their own tracks. Which is good. Either by design or by circumstance, Djing serves as a giant collad approach as opposed to a "me, me, me" approach. This means we who make tracks don't have to worry about making 50 tracks a year to appease a label and lead to a 12-17 song album every 2 years etc. Instead, we can devote as much to every single track as is fitting and we all contribute to a giant "record pool" of sorts where we all help build one another's sets collectively by default. Some artist release albums that are only by the artist (Icey has done that some as well... and Icey has released A MASSIVE SLEW OF TRACKS HE MADE) and some artists play mainly or nearly exclusively their stuff... other less. For me, it is about the crowd and vibe. I don't force it. If my track fits a mix I drop it. If not, I don't.
