This scratch is taking me FOREVER... I know it but once I get above 120-125 bpm I get off track. Been practicing since last month lol.
@barrywatts8036 жыл бұрын
It does take a long time. I'm learning chirp chirp one click flare combo. Starting with really slow pace and trying to be consistent. It's hard but can't be rushed. Taking some breaks inbetween 3 hours of practice.

120+ is pretty fast to scratch to, I go to shit after 110

How long does it take to learn how to scratch good? It seems so far fetched to me! 🤨
@barrywatts8036 жыл бұрын
It's the same like learning any musical instrument. Really have to build muscle memory. You really need a fire burning in you to keep doing it at slow pace. Practice practice. That's how all the great scatchers got there.

I know this comment is super old, but thanks! That's actually much better way of thinking about it
@jerbear69476 жыл бұрын
Michael L I saw it as a boomerang and a 1 click transform in the middle and end.
@jerbear69476 жыл бұрын
Michael L or just a slice scratch with a 1 click transform

Why is it called Autobahn scratch?
@Waynestarr8 жыл бұрын
Because it was invented by DJ Rafik from Germany, and the highway system in Germany is called the "Autobahn".

i think that the first move can be made without the crossfader, is just a baby scratch...
@jerbear69476 жыл бұрын
DJ VITO it’s a Slice I think. Or Dice. Can’t remember for sure. A baby does sound a little different not as precise and clear. Or sharp.
@maccagrabme5 жыл бұрын
@@jerbear6947 Best off using a baby scratch at first to get the flow then once you have the timing its a lot easier to make it a chirp. The way he is chirping this is quite loose and not at the attack of the sample so it sounds like a baby.
@nano75863 жыл бұрын
This technique was btw. first used when Hitler invented the German highway, hence Autobahn scratch (as the name suggests).
