1:22:13 - I remember listening to mixes from the Doc around the '05 to '09 period. '05 started very strong when he was on 1xtra's "The Basement" and created what is to this day one of the best history lessons going. But as he said, it was a slow downhill. He was playing tunes that were just not in his usual style - remember Dillinja - S Bag, that highly divisive track? Doc played that to end a set once and I just had no idea what he was thinking, it was like they were both involved in a meme. Hearing him talk about this period, it's now clearer he was not in it mentally and I am very happy he went and received help. I remember he posted on DOA, mostly an apology for those years, and to call people out who were just "yes" men. It's great to hear him speaking so positively in this interview

Doc Scott’s right on the nail wit that one. You know you can roll out a mind blowing set when every track you play tells a story to the complete set

Doc Scott's 'Shadow Boxing' is a filthy tune that has really stood the test of time.

Oh yeah, those Sunday nights in Hoxton Square at Metalheadz were some of my most favourite nights of all in Clubbing London, with the brick dust dribbling down your back from around the fitted lights in the basement due to the bass pressure, think I first went about '95 and the best result, still made it to work Mondays !

Solid interview. Going out regularly in the mid to late 90's, aside from Bukem, Scottie was the one DJ I knew would smash it every time. His tune selection was bang on and the tune placement was sick. The geezer took you places with his sets. Can't big that up enough nor for his part in pushing the tech step sound in '96. Hearing him drop Sky Scraper's 'Liberty One' at a night in Cov was madness and got me obsessed with the new direction tunes were going in that year. Saw him play Ed Rush 'Technology' at Metalheadz bank holiday bash at Rage that same summer and the plate had 'T99' written on it haha! Old school know that reference! Salute, Scottie! Nice one from 'Surgery' EP onwards! Still can't get enough of the 'Drumz' mentasm nearly 30 years on :P

Wicked interview with the Doc. Please can you get MC GQ on and ask him about his legendary residency at AWOL 94, 95 and also the underrated don Mickey Finn

Brilliant interview, what a humble guy, heavy DJ and certainly underrated back in the day, inspirational loved it, mix tapes with tracks off John Peel, hip hop, Graff, hardcore, jungle, a path trodden by many cultured 50 year olds 👊

@50:10; Some peeps are wired differently, they think, if something is illegal it is wrong! If the law was changed tomorrow, they would change their opinion. (a generalised answer)
