This is genius. An easily missed quick blast of horns and strings from the start of a Natalie Cole song and (unconnected) snippets of a vocal break at the end of a little-known 1986 house tune. That is J Dilla level crate digging, before he even starts twiddling the knobs to turbocharge the samples and cracking out the low pass filter to send the tune up and down with that unmistakable French House vibe.

@@TimWrightDJ Didn't even get a reply notice. Thx youtube. Yeah, copyright is a mess. I'd love to try my hand at making a french house track myself sometime but there is always the fear of it getting striked and so on. As long as I don't release it it's probably fine with the only danger beeing it getting taken down. The problem is you can never know the intention of an artist who is using someone elses sample. Going around and asking everyone for permission won't work out in most cases anyway, especially if you are unkown or the original artist has died. It just shows that you can't regulate art like any other good. Not sure if this problem ever gets solved. Allthough I think making music without the goal of getting money is great, artists have it hard enough already ^^'

back in the day when I got this on 12" off of ebay I thought I had a broken record. The same phenomenon is in Waters of nazareth from Justice to be honest, after the organ sounds kind of "die" near the end of the song. The first time was when I heard it on my mp3 player and I thought the battery died, so the moment I wanted to check the screen, the beat dropped so hard in my face that I was headbanging furiously on the street. That moment I knew the album will be legendary forever.
