I love this song so much, I can't describe it with words only. It has a great vibe, and as said in the comments about the music industry it hits a string being that it is hard as creative artist to give your music your own sound while the industry is not ginving one damn about it.

Well, I only remembered mouse in jacuzzi from this clip. Finally reunited with it 12 years later :) Now I'm trying to search another animated clip I watched many years ago at French MCM Top, just like "Starlight" (yep, I'm not French but I had it then), and which had dogs in space. I think it was in French language too. I typed in google "vidéoclip avec chiens en cosmos" (videoclip with dogs in space - I speak French a bit), but there was no right results. So, is here anybody from France (but doesn't have to) who knows any of its data (artist, title)? If so, please reply me. Merci.

(Your dream...) for real... (Come true...) (You...) I will... (Will rise...) will rise... (Above...) above... (The room...) Heart is pure and thoughts are clear (Love, release our mind) Not going to mess around (You are what you want) Mum and Daddy would be so proud (Time is taking lies) City please don't let me down (You are what you mean) Starlight, can you give me the fame (Star light) Can you help me hurl me the game, Oh Starlight? I FINALLY found it! I remember I used to LOVE this music video when I was a kid - my parents were less enthused (I remember telling them all about it after I saw it for the first time all alone. I waited and waited for the music tv stations to play it again for them, when it came on again I got incredibly exited and told them to come see. I recall that their words were "....This? THIS is the one you like? It's so..stupid") And now I've grown up to see that potato man and mouse's parents felt the same way as mine, at least.

I remember when this used to be on the music channels virtually every morning while I was getting ready for work when it first came out, then it just vanished and I'd forgotten about it. Then a couple of weeks ago I heard it on an advert, talk talk I think? I started telling people about it but I was just met with blank stares, no one knew what I was talking about and for the life of me I couldn't remember what it was called or who the artist was, I'm so glad this popped up on my recommended list.

Excellent song, and a very clever and innovative video. Ahead of the time, without a doubt. The 90s through to the early 2000s was a great time. No social media, no smart phones. People just lived in the moment. A far more social and friendly time compared to what we have now.
@DaveDexterMusic Жыл бұрын

You forget that at that time there was a lot more sexism, racism, religious extremists, poor average care etc. That was a sht time but good in some respects.
@Inconvenient_NPC Жыл бұрын
@RITCHRD No, there wasn't. Race relations were much better in those days because society wasn't anywhere near as divided as it is today. Social media wasn't the norm because it simply didn't exist, and sexism wasn't touched on much because the real feminists of the late twentieth century had accomplished what they had set out to achieve some twenty-plus years prior to the early 2000s. It's a time you obviously can't remember. Don't lecture me, son.

@@Inconvenient_NPC Hey retard just because you weren't a minority or had female problems doesn't mean they didn't exist. But I get it, once you hit 50 or so its hard to understand new concepts and learn new things. Its easy to forget stuff that didn't happen directly to you. Watch out for the nursing staff grandpa, I hear boomers really get tossed around by them. Arrogant boomers like you are the reason I smile when I hear horrible news about the conditions the elderly have to put up with. All I can think is : "Serves em right".
